The location was amazing with great view to the Indian Ocean. Though we couldn’t swim there because of the tide and the urchins, the views and the walks on the sand were spacracular. The food was really good and tasty. The people friendly and had great hospitality. I will definitely recommended.

We stayed at Villa Tulia as a group of 6 and had an absolutely amazing experience. The villa is stunning, very clean, and comes with great amenities. What truly made our stay special was the incredible staff – Paul, the always-helpful property manager, the resident chef who prepared delicious meals, the housekeepers, security team, and gardeners – everyone was friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and taken care of. Every morning we were treated to a fantastic breakfast with a wide variety of fresh options, which we looked forward to daily. The villa is perfect if you're looking for privacy and peace – it has direct access to the beach, and most days it felt like we had the entire shore to ourselves, free from vendors or crowds. We also felt very safe, with round-the-clock security. The beach is ideal for long walks, morning swims, or stargazing at night – truly magical. There's also a small kitchen available if you ever feel like cooking. Also worth mentioning is Sam, the villa’s recommended driver, who was amazing and stayed with us throughout our entire trip. He was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and enriched our rides with fascinating insights about Zanzibar. He also helped us organize excursions and day trips, making everything smooth and enjoyable. If you're looking for a quiet, luxurious, and private stay in Zanzibar with top-notch service, Villa Tulia is the place to go. We can’t thank the whole team enough – we had an unforgettable stay and would return in a heartbeat!

Villa Kiva Boutique Hotel ligger ud til sin egen sandstrand i Matemwe. Den gamle bydel i Zanzibar ligger 45 km fra hotellet, hvor der findes en stor have, udendørs swimmingpool samt en restaurant. Vi boede 6 nætter på Villa Kiva og havde et helt igennem fantastisk ophold. Beliggenheden direkte på stranden er helt enestående og skaber en ro og stemning, som er svær at finde andre steder. Værelserne er smagfuldt indrettet med stor sans for detaljer, serviceniveauet er sublimt, og maden var veltillavet og virkelig lækker. En særlig ros skal gå til manager Pedro, som med stort nærvær, indlevelse og oprigtig omsorg gjorde, at man følte sig ekstremt velkommen og godt taget hånd om under hele opholdet.

The room was very comfortable and the decor was tastefully done with an eye for details.. The location is excellent with panoramic view of the sea and quiet - ideal for a relaxing getaway.. The swimming pool is large and inviting.. The common area / restaurant with bar is a nice place to hang out and chill.. The owners were very warm and hospitable and were always available to cater to any needs.. Staff were friendly and professional

Mambo Paradise is a wonderful, intimate hotel located right by the beach. Spacious rooms with a breathtaking view of the ocean and a beautiful sunrise every morning. In this location, you can truly experience the local life of the smiling villagers. The endless stretch of pristine beach is perfect for long walks. The hotel’s restaurant is excellent, serving delicious breakfasts and fresh seafood dishes throughout the day, as well as other local specialties. Freshly squeezed juices, coconuts straight from the palm tree—everything is healthy and prepared by hand. Kasia, the owner, is always cheerful and helpful in organizing excursions. Highly recommended!
