Then it was straight down for a swim in the most beautiful, calm water you can imagine. The sunsets? Absolutely unforgettable. And the location is spot on – peaceful and away from the noise, but close enough to walk into Waikiki whenever you want. The ocean breeze keeps everything fresh, so no sticky heat and no mosquitoes – just comfort. The staff are genuinely kind and clearly take pride in what they do. And having Hau Tree right inside the hotel is such a treat – it’s one of Waikiki’s coolest spots, and you can just wander down for a drink or dinner without leaving “home.” Evenings had this lovely buzz – the lobby would fill with people, music and laughter drifting in, and it felt like you were part of something special. On a couple of mornings, a Hawaiian monk seal swam by, totally at ease, and everyone watched quietly – it felt like such a privilege. And right behind the hotel is Kapiʻolani Regional Park, perfect for a morning walk. The fact that the resort fee includes yoga classes was the cherry on top for me.
