Grazie mille to Roberto and the lovely stuff. In la Puesta del sol you have a hostel, a bar and a restaurant. It’s a quiet place with a wonderful view. Also you can see a lot of animals there, monkeys, aras etc.. Our room was very clean and we had enough space. The breakfast was very good and the food in the restaurant was delicious! (its only open from thursday till sunday, and its better to make a reservation, because its everytime full). Puerto Carillo Beach is 5min by walk and is less crowded than Samara Beach. Best sunset on the beach! The Fenix was just purchased by the new owners and they were starting some renos but our stay was really enjoyable even with the little bit of construction going on. The rooms are a good size and have small kitchens which is great. The location is awesome and you can walk to beach restaurants and the downtown area. There is also fresh fish and a small store right behind the Fenix. The outside sitting area is fantastic....so comfortable and the sunsets are absolutely awesome. New owners mentioned they were thinking of some upgrades including A/C which would be great too. We plan on going back for sure (and bringing wine....inside joke with new owners!)
