The people who work there, the unbelievably good food, the location in the magical Paul Valley, the view from the room ... difficult to put it into words and as soon as you leave the valley you remember it like a beautiful dream. Amazing experience! You feel right at home in the very heart of the amazing Vale do Paúl!! Kate is a great host: speaks all languages possible (😀), has all the guests dinner together and has a thorough knowledge of the entire island, giving great tips for hikes and restaurants! Staff was extremely friendly as well! The walk up the hill to get to Casa is quite steep but it’s like you feel rewarded once you get into this little paradise at the end of it!! I will be back for sure!

Tony is a great host and very knowledgeable about the local area. He is always kind and willing to help or lend advice. The breakfasts were great and make for a lovely atmosphere where guests have an opportunity to meet eat together each morning. The guest house is very serene, set amongst the hills and sugar cane fields of Eito. It's a perfect location, away from pombras, nestled in the valley. It's one of the most beautiful places I've ever been. I would definitely recommend staying here. Thanks Tony

Beautiful garden, charming, antique atmosphere. Cozy room. Great breakfast, friendly staff. Cute dogs. I was able to do some workout with Nuno's gym space.

The suite was very clean, comfortable and had an amazing view. The breakfast and dinner were really delicious and healthy, with of course the amazing view in the terrace it felt like a dream. Hannelore and everyone were extremely nice and helpful. I had to adjust my booking last minute due to an emergency, really appreciate her understanding and flexibility. She also helped me organize the best excursions in the beautiful island. Would definitely visit again!

If you are looking for an opportunity to get in touch and support a beatiful local community this is the place to be. You will eat (the best!) local food and if you’re willing to, you will be embraced by a whole community that is always smiling and likes a good chat. the breakfast and dinners are plentiful and very very good. You can easily pass on having lunch during the day when you are hiking. the rooms are very confy and you will have all you need. the view and the surroundings are stunning. this is an association created and led by local women. they will arrange the transportation if you ask for it.

The place is nice an quiet. The owner extremely friendly and helpful an upon request serves a delicious breakfast for very little money. Useful advise for your trip around is given by the owner if you wish and at least for me the advice turned out very well. Certainly value for money and a place to recommend.

Very friendly and helpful host, Due to a delayed flight Jan let us change our booking very obligingly. He gave us great tips for hikes and restaurants. The nice and clean room was even cleaned during our short stay. A nice terrace was available too. Anytime again!
