The Chateau was a big old farm house along the river not far away from the small town of Pons or the main road down south or up north. The small village itself was a charming place to walk and Pons was very interesting too. Our room was really a spacious room with a lovely bathroom. Especially we liked old wooden floor. Breakfast was excellent and the owners showed us real warm hospitality. A good bonus was a small pool in the garden.

I am so glad we found this gem of a B&B in the beautiful town of Pons during an overnight stop on our way to Spain. I wish we could have stayed longer. Benedicte has taken such care of her rooms in this lovely old and characterful house. Our room was spotlessly clean, spacious and comfortable with everything we needed to have a lovely stay and breakfast in the morning was superb. We sat in the large French kitchen and enjoyed fresh bread and homemade jam with coffee, chatting with Benedicte and her husband and their lovely friendly cats. I would highly recommend St James House and I would most definitely return. You’ll love it.

The breakfast was excellent, homemade jams and yoghurt plus the ambience made it even more enjoyable. Walking around the manicured grounds and lake, meeting all the varied animals and birds, even the crocodile guarding the bridge made the stay that more enjoyable, the renovations that the host has made to the 300 year properties are impressive indeed. Thank you for a most enjoyable stay.

Very good location close to restaurants and very friendly hosts. We didn't have time to try the spa but it looked very inviting. The property and rooms are very well presented with very original decor. Lovely garden. Only a few minutes from the autoroute.

Very nice place in medieval town of Pons. Outside eatng area and also nice pool and also small sports area and hammocks. Friendly hosts. Peaceful place to relax and enjoy.

Located close to the A10 to ease long journeys through France to and from Spain. A good breakfast to start the day and an interesting host with an interesting collection of vinyl LPs.

Very well designed - right down to the last detail (there was even a scales in the bathroom - very useful with all the nice food in France tempting one all the time). The kitchen was outstanding. Simply had everything. Great clothes washing facilities.
