Set in Sepilok in the Sabah region, Sepilok B&B has a garden. There is an in-house restaurant, plus free private parking and free WiFi are available. Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with a sun terrace.

The location. It's 500 meters to the rainforest development centre. It makes it easier to visit the RDC again and again. I stayed there for five nights. The B&B itself feels like it's in a forest. You could see a lot of black squirrels and birds when you are there. Peaceful and calm and quiet place with lots of greenery. WiFi works well in the lobby. The staff were super helpful. They made some mistakes with my booking but helped me out with a larger room at a discounted price later. The heater was not working on day 1 and they fixed it immediately once the complaint was raised.

MJ Hotel is located in Sibuga. With a shared lounge, the 2-star inn has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, each with a private bathroom.

At the inn, every room is equipped with a desk and a flat-screen TV. At MJ Hotel each room is equipped with bed linen and towels.

We booked this hotel room to leave our luggage when heading into the jungle and to have a shower on our return before our flight back to Kuala Lumpur. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable for what we needed. The location was perfect, close to the airport and on the way to sepilok and sandakan town. We recommend this hotel as a base when arriving or departing from Sandakan.

Excellent location at the jungle edge, close to the Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre and the Sun Bear Conservation Centre, and just 2km from the roundabout on the main road (where the Kota Kinabalu / Inanam to Sandakan bus can drop you,. Helpful staff and a restaurant / cafe with a great view. Parking available if you arrive by car. A range of accommodation is available. Bunk rooms are economic and with just four to a room quieter than many places. The bed was comfortable, and toilet block ok,.

Beautiful quiet setting in the jungle! Loved the firm beds and outdoor bathroom - showering overlooking the jungle! Good air-conditioning in private rooms. Staff were friendly. Dinner food was great and able to cater for vegan diet. Shuttle bus to attractions was very helpful. Really nice accommodation, didn't feel too 'touristy'.

One of the best hotels I have stayed in, feel like it is a must stay for every traveller. You stay in wooden lodges so be prepared to find a few critters around your room but mosquito nets are provided. Bathroom is semi-outside so has a great view onto the jungle but still feels private at the same time. staff were absolutely fantastic, very very friendly and welcoming. Food was delicious and cheap. Free shuttle service into sepilok.

Great location if you want to visit the orangutan rehab centre & sun bears. We had a private family room and it was spacious and comfortable. The AC worked well. Free breakfast included. Not your usual breakfast items but it's Malaysia so you'll get that anywhere.
