The tropical garden at the bed and breakfast is delightful. We enjoyed Marita's wonderful breakfast as we gazed over beautiful foliage and bird-watched. The hosts gave excellent suggestions about area activities and provided a very helpful map. Watching the sunset from the nearby lake park was terrific.

The accommodations were exceptionally nice, but the best part of the visit was the breakfast in the mornings. I would highly recommend this unique place for an overnight visit or an extended stay.

Boasting garden views, Gingerbread Restaurant & Hotel offers accommodation with a garden, a terrace and a bar, around 21 km from Venado Caves. The breakfast was lovely and different each morning. It was so fresh with plenty of fruit and lovely coconut bread. It was lovely to have breakfast and watch the birds enjoying the fruit that is put out for them each morning. We also had dinner each evening and the menu was so varied and very international. Eyal is a fantastic host, he is a big character and is so welcoming to all guests. The food was absolutely incredible and we ate in each evening as we did not want to go out and miss his wonderful food. Truly outstanding flavours and quality. Such a beautiful setting. Our room was the jungle room and we loved the jungle theme decoration. The beds were very comfortable and the shower was great. We had a really good balcony overlooking the lake.

Villas Paradise features mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking, set in El Castillo de La Fortuna, 26 km from La Fortuna Waterfall. It was such a delight to wake up every morning to a view of the lake and Mt. Arenal! The room was perfectly situated and the view was spectacular. We had breakfast included every morning and it was alway delicious and the food was so fresh...huge portions and coffee refills included. We also ate dinner there every night as it was easy and we didn't have to drive anywhere. The menu had enough variety that we were very satisfied with our choices of evening meals. The soup Azteca and Caprese salad were both delicious! The birdwatching from the balcony of our room was wonderful...we saw several new species including a reoccurring nightjar that came every night to the road next to us. Also saw lots of hummingbirds and other species in the shrubs and trees around the property. It was a wonderful place to get away and close to the volcano park and Mistico as well as several hot springs.

Los Tucanes Lodging is located in El Castillo de La Fortuna, Costa Rica and offers free WiFi access. Arenal Ecozoo is located just 19 metres away. Very pretty, typical breakfast, very good, very clean, BEAUTIFUL view, calm, relaxing, the host was very nice!

Monte Terras is located 100 metres from Lake Arenal and 5 minutes’ walk from Tronadora Main Square. Free Wi-Fi access is available throughout. This property is a little gem with a spectacular view! I went with my husband and 3 children and the kids had so much fun exploring the property, using the swings and trampoline and running around. Kees was super accommodating, making sure that we had everything we needed! I highly recommend this spot!

Mary was so friendly and helpful. She went out of her way providing us with helpful information, logistical support and transportation. She checked on us regularly to ensure we had everything we needed, which we did. The home was in a beautiful area walking distance from Lake Arenal Park and recreation area and very close to restaurants and shops. Perfect weather...no need for a heater or air conditioner.
