We were very welcomed by Jose who is running his place with pride. He guided us in his friendly way to the top of the volcano and back. He took all the time we needed and was checking everything if we were doing fine. The house is just outside the village, very quiet and great view to the volcano. And he had cold beer. We needed it.

The place is very well set up and the owners are kind and helpful people. It's a family operation with lots of experience in hospitality. The rooms are clean and functional. The meals were nice too. We would definitely stay here again.

Of course, the Guesthouse is not comparable to a 3Stars hotel but when you come to this kind of place, Ciza e Rose is exactly the kind of Guesthouse you expect! Rose was born here, he is the right man at the right place and his family is very nice. Rose can speak many languages, including french. The rooms are simple but have all you need. They are big, quiet and all around a patio. Board games are available and we could play Awale and learn a new way to play with Michael, the son. The breakfast was really good and a bit different each day, with cakes... We got a lot of explanations from Rose, who is also a guide if you need. Communication was really easy with them, even before arriving. A "collectivos" picked us up at the airport and Rose organized another one to drop us to Sao Filipe. We eat at the Guesthouse in the evenings. At midday, we went several times to Isabel Restaurant ( actually Isabel is Rose's sister but we didn't know it the first time!). By the way, Rose has 6 brothers/sisters at Portela.

As a frequent traveler, there is the rare place that you know will stay in the forefront of your memory forever. The location cannot be beat - my window looked out right onto the volcano. It left like being with family truly in Cape Verde. Letetia and Alcindo are wonderful and helped me with anything I needed during my stay including organizing a hiking guide and transport. I loved just staying up, drinking wine, and chatting with the hosts and other guests. I hope to return one day and cannot reccomend enough.

We took room with bathroom and shower. Room was absolutely amazing. José was there for all our needs. He is a man with golden heart for people. He also guided us to Pico. I highly recommend

This was exactly what I needed a tranquil, beautiful tropical paradise getaway just far enough from the city to enjoy a peaceful day and night but close enough to everything. The airport is right there so perfect place to get your rest during your Cabo Verde getaway. Pipi and her family are a true blessing and are the best hosts I've encountered in a long time. As a frequent traveler I cannot say enough about how great this place was. Pool was the perfect size to cool off. The food was amazing. Cocktails were delicious. The room was spacious and super clean. Comfy bed, large shower (hot water). I could go on and on but words aren't enough. Go there check it out for yourself you will not regret it.

Casa Ze & sonia mempunyai pemandangan gunung, WiFi gratis, dan parkir pribadi gratis yang terletak di Portela. Tersedia kamar mandi pribadi lengkap dengan shower dan amenitas kamar mandi gratis. Ze and Sonia were super nice, friendly and accommodating. They could speak French relatively well. The room is simple but functional. The meals prepared were very delicious. The WiFi was good to work from there, and in case, the 4G antenna is located nearby. Absolutely recommended!

The host Lea was super helpful before we even got there. She answered all my questions very quickly and provided lots of information. They arranged the shuttle service for us as well as a guide to climb up the volcano. João himself is a guide and you can book him. Obviously the location is perfect and you have a beautiful view of the volcano right from the room. Make sure to eat at Isabella's next door, her food is delicious and she was such a warm and wonderful person. All in all it was a wonderful experience!

I was upgraded to a room with balcony facing the sea. Absolutely delightful sight. Very quiet hotel with everything you need. Of course it's very impersonal, a generic hotel room, so if you're looking for an authentic Cabo Verdian experience this is not for you, but if you're looking for a clean, spacious, quiet and comfortable place to rest, it is perfect. The cleanliness was not perfect but was pretty good ; nothing too problematic. The AC is a huge advantage!

Berlokasi di Sao Filipe, wilayah Fogo, Pensão Domingas terletak kurang dari 1 km dari Pantai Sao Filipe. Domingas is an AMAZING host. We really loved to stay in her apartments. The room was big ,super clean and in perfect location. The breakfast was great. Wifi was good.
