Featuring a garden and views of river, Manoir des Comtes is a bed and breakfast situated in a historic building in Confolens, 33 km from Val de Vienne Circuit. Everything was fantastic. The room decor was wonderfully eclectic, so if you are looking for beige walls go somewhere else. The rooms are in a 15th century building, very spacious and comfortable. If you are staying on an evening where they are offering a table d'hotes do accept. The hosts fixed a fabulous dinner with good conversation for all. We wish we could have stayed longer.

Very lovely owners, really great value and all the services you need. The rooms are nice and spacious enough, and for a private room I think it is very great value.

I was well looked after. The breakfast was amazing. Everything was local, fresh or homemade. I would love to stay here again

The hosts Jack & Carmel are lovely, friendly and kind people. The balcony and view of the river great. The room was large, quiet and v. clean. Breakfast was awesome

This was a lovely 1845 house in a quiet neighborhood just a ten-minute Walk from the center of town (cathedral, town hall, shopping, restaurants). Very friendly and helpful proprietors. Delicious breakfast of fruit from her orchard, eggs from her chickens, and just baked clafouti.

The hosts were friendly but not intrusive and you felt at ease sharing their home. The chateau had been restored to a very high standard, keeping many original features but with some modern additions. Our room was spacious and very clean and comfortable. Other areas of the house were also available for residents to use. The grounds were well tended and nice to stroll around, and outside seating was also present. A fresh and tasty breakfast was provided in a light and airy room and was buffet style. The chateau was located in a quiet location yet was quite close to a main town. Our dog was welcomed :)

The stay was amazing. The owners are very hospitable and have decorated the estate with an eye for detail. Enjoyed the room, the garden with the pool and the exceptionally tasteful dinner. I will definitely come back again.
