Francesca welcomed us so warmly and gave us great recommendations for restaurants and all things to explore in the area. We couldn't have asked for anything more and thoroughly enjoyed our time at Asilo. Would recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in the village of Barolo. Bonus: there is even gated parking and a charger for EVs!

Ariel at the front desk was incredible and took care of us the entire time, making dinner and lunch recommendations and reservations at any time we wanted. The hotel was very well equipped, room was spacious and and nicely appointed. The breakfast was tasty and the wait staff was sweet. The location couldn't be beat as it was right in the heart of Barolo. Just be aware, the parking was convenient but is an uphill climb to the hotel, it wasn't a problem at all for us, but could be for those less able. There was a clicking sound for a light sensor in the bathroom that went off randomly and was a bit annoying but didn't tarnish our stay. Highly recommend!

I had such a wonderful stay at La Meridiana d'Alba and can’t recommend it highly enough. The owners were absolutely lovely, so warm, welcoming and genuinely helpful. They even gave me a lift to the train station when I was leaving, which saved me from dragging my suitcase over cobblestones in the heat. Such a kind gesture! The room itself was beautiful, spacious, spotlessly clean, and incredibly comfortable. The bed was great, the air conditioning worked perfectly (a real bonus in summer), and there was a huge patio off the room that was perfect for relaxing. They’d thought of everything: snacks, breakfast items, coffee, water, you name it. The location is ideal too, peaceful yet just a short walk from the heart of Alba and several great cafes and restaurants near it. I only wish I could have stayed longer. This place is a real gem and I’d absolutely stay again!

Our flight was cancelled due to airport strikes which meant we got to the property really late. The owners could not have been more helpful and accommodating and stayed up as late as it took to let us in with such a warm welcome. The hotel is in a beautiful old building looking out onto the square, but the rooms are so modern with amazing interior design and a large bath that we didn’t get a chance to use. The breakfast was also lovely, with savoury and sweet treats. Would highly recommend and wish we could have stayed longer!
