Miyajima Guesthouse Mikuniya is a traditional Japanese-style guesthouse located on Miyajima (Itsukushima). Fantastic location, a very short distance out of the main tourist areas, but close to everything. Beautiful setting both inside and out. The room had fantastic views and was very comfortable and spacious. Lots of amenities available.

Everything about this property was perfect. My family of 4 had a private room with 4 bunks and our own bathroom. The restaurant attached was fantastic and convenient. The train station is a ten minute walk through a beautiful quiet neighborhood.

Location was perfect: close to some good restaurants and basically on the bike route. We stayed in a mixed dorm, which was very clean and well-organised. Common shower rooms were very clean. The luggage transfer to our next stop (which was the bike rental in Imabari) worked perfectly.

The location was great and easy to get to shops and start the shimanami kaido. The host was very kind and was always open to helping us with anything. We could use bikes free locally or hire them at a good price to do the Shiminami kaido.

She helped us navigate rental of bikes, gave us good tips about our bike ride, and helped explain the local experience. The place was clean, spacious and had great location right on the beach. Waking up to the water view was amazing.
