Miyajima Guesthouse Mikuniya is a traditional Japanese-style guesthouse located on Miyajima (Itsukushima). Nice atmosphere for a Guesthouse. Basic food was also provided due to the location which is an exceptional service.

The location was convenient to restaurants and the view was beautiful. Rooms were simple yet comfortable and convenient, with a reading lamp on the bed, and cotton and linen sheets. Bathrooms were immaculate. They make a pudding in house which is absolutely delicious. Highly recommend and would stay again if I’m in the area.

Bed was nice after sleeping on wood tile for 3 days.

Owner of this guesthouse is a very nice and kind person. He lives there together with family but also share his house with guests. He rented me good quality bicycle so I had two beautiful days in Shimanami Kaido. I want to thank owner for his hospitality and hope to see him again!

Gamigami is located with a fantastic view across the inland sea with islands near and in the distance. It is a pity that cables are in this view as seen from the rooms but you can go up on the flat roof for an unobstructed view. It is not very far on a nearly flat road to the ferry to Onomichi so it makes a good last night if you are cycling from Imabari taking several days as we did. We had a comfort Japanese style room.
