Miyajima Guesthouse Mikuniya is a traditional Japanese-style guesthouse located on Miyajima (Itsukushima). Fantastic location, a very short distance out of the main tourist areas, but close to everything. Beautiful setting both inside and out. The room had fantastic views and was very comfortable and spacious. Lots of amenities available.

We also arrived back to our room one particularly cold afternoon to find that the host had switched the heater on for us which was incredibly welcome on our cold bones.

The location and view was amazing, and the traditional rooms were great. All the staff were really helpful and lovely to chat to. The bar/café was a welcome hangout and great to sit and enjoy a drink. Although it was at the top of the hill, the walk wasn’t hard and exploring up the hill was a real treat. Will definitely go back, and would highly recommend it to anyone.
