Located just 1.3 km from Oka Park, Guesthouse RICO offers accommodation in Wakayama with access to a bar, a shared lounge, as well as a housekeeping service. I made the best of friends while staying here! A bunch of people would come in to use the cafe so I also got to meet locals. I loved living here and I loved the vibe.

Ideally located just a 10-minute walk from the iconic Kiyomizu-dera Temple, Guesthouse Soi offers various rooms including private Japanese-style rooms and dormitory rooms. The people working here are super nice. They know a lot about the world and are nice to talk to. We enjoyed the free simple breakfast. They have some sweets set up, free coffee/tea to brew, a nice library with books and travel guides. Washing and drying machines are available. The room was clean and quiet. The location is super. If you feel like walking there are a lot of sights in walking distance, if not, there is a bus station really near with good connections. The description mentioned that the property is in a quite steep hill, but to me it did not seem that steep.

Boasting garden views, ゲストハウス柚 features accommodation with free bikes, a garden and a terrace, around 200 metres from Kumano Hayatama Taisha. The building and the rooms are super traditional and charming and spacious and comfortable. There was a shaved ice machine and prepared ice and sirup, very tasty! Fantastic location, there is a great temple right next to it. The host was super friendly and helpful, he made the stay great!

NONAGASE GUEST HOUSE, a property with a garden, is situated in Chikatsuyu, 300 metres from Kumanokodo Nakahechi Museum of Art, 29 km from Kamitonda Concert Hall, as well as 31 km from Hosshinmon Oji... Due to limited availability when I booked, Nonagase ended up being a bit fancier than my usual accommodation choices – but I certainly didn’t regret it! The building and rooms were absolutely stunning, and they even have a lovely little beer garden. The staff were perfect as well. I’d highly recommend staying here!

Amazing experience It is our first trip to Japan and our hosts were so kind and hospitable that we felt truly welcome. We received a lot of valuable information and suggestions. We made fresh eggs PASTA (busiate, maccheroncini, farfalle orecchiette ecc) together and spent a very pleasant time whith them and their feiends. 簡易宿所 ふくろく is located in Shingu, less than 1 km from Kamikura Shrine, a 13-minute walk from Shingu Castle Ruins Park, as well as 1.4 km from Kumano Hayatama Taisha. Exceptionally nice. Wonderful rooms and clean easy shared facilities. The host was wonderful and so very kind.
