Everything sparkling clean and comfortable as usual. Friendly, helpful people. A welcome, toasty room on a very cold day! Great location, good facilities, comfy bed. Excellent!

First and foremost, the food at your establishment was nothing short of exceptional.The accommodations were equally impressive. My room was not only impeccably clean and well-maintained but also tastefully decorated, creating a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. The attention to detail did not go unnoticed, and it truly contributed to the overall sense of luxury and relaxation. Of course, what truly sets your hotel apart is the unparalleled hospitality extended by your staff. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism.

J-Hoppers Kumano Yunomine Guesthouse is situated in Hongu, a 10-minute drive away or a 70-minute walk on the Kumano Kodo Pilgrimage Route from Kumano Hongu Taisha Grand Shrine. The hostel was fantastic. We rented a tatami room, which was spotless, very comfortable and with a really nice view. The onsen was amazing, we absolutely loved it. Everything was clean, there were snacks, eggs to boil in the onsens in town and all cooking and serving tools to eat them afterwards. The bathrooms were incredibly clean. This was our favourite stay along the Kumano Kodo, despite being the cheapest.

Located just 1.3 km from Oka Park, Guesthouse RICO offers accommodation in Wakayama with access to a bar, a shared lounge, as well as a housekeeping service. The place is quite hippie and has a well equiped kitchen area. Staff is super helpful when I need to mail luggage before hiking. Thanks a lot.

Boasting garden views, ゲストハウス柚 features accommodation with free bikes, a garden and a terrace, around 200 metres from Kumano Hayatama Taisha. Unique old style house but very comfortable with just the right amount of modern conviences (heaters, well stocked kitchen, comfortable futons). House was beautiful. Great location, only steps away from Hayatama Taisha and a 15 min walk to Kamakura shrine. Also, host was very welcoming and helpful.

NONAGASE GUEST HOUSE, a property with a garden, is situated in Chikatsuyu, 300 metres from Kumanokodo Nakahechi Museum of Art, 29 km from Kamitonda Concert Hall, as well as 31 km from Hosshinmon Oji... What a spectacular guest house! We were blown away by how beautiful it was both inside the house and their wonderful garden area with the oldest Sakura tree in Wakayama. Giovanni and Hitomi were amazing hosts and made us feel welcome and special throughout. Giovanni's set course meal was absolutely delicious with high quality ingredients, we were glad we paid extra for this. After our trek from Takajiri we were able to enjoy some beers in the sunshine in the garden and it was the perfect end to the day. Would recommend to everyone highly 🌸

Located within 7.2 km of Iwafune Shrine and 10 km of Nozaki Kannon Shrine, Shionome house provides rooms with air conditioning and a shared bathroom in Ikoma. This place is just amazing. Most friendly and helpful host. The house is traditional Japanese style and gives a very homely feeling. It’s walking distance from the station and very calm place. Definitely recommend.
