I was able to use the sauna even after the breakfast, so I had a pleasant meal and enjoyed the sauna. I left after enjoying a very good rest in hospitality that I can't feel anywhere else in Japan. The bedding in the room was comparable to a 5-star hotel. All the usable spaces were really clean and organized, so just looking at them made me feel good. The usable space is very large compared to typical accommodations in Japan.

The host is really friendly and I had nice breakfast. There’s a bar you may order at night but it’s a pity I didn’t have sufficient time here, wish you all the best!

The friendliness and availability of the 2 owners, the food (amazing for the 2 dinners we had: 1 French, 1 Japanese). We had an upgrade in a huge room/suite which was super appreciated. Set in Tsushima in the Nagasaki region, Guest House「さごんヴィレッジ」 offers accommodation with free private parking. One day, soon I hope, I'll be able to be fluent enough with my Japanese to review places like this one. Nevertheless, still not the case. :'( This place could be described with one world: fabulous. Really, totally, incredibly fabulous. When the bus left me in the middle of nowhere, when I crossed a town slowly, without population to carry out its history, when I found out that the school before the guesthouse was in fact the guesthouse (yeah, should have checked /o), I was as excited as afraid. That was for naught though. Understanding the village his population and history, helps a lot understanding the place. Without children to study in it, the school was closed around 10 years ago, and then repaired, treated with a lot of love and respect until the result you will find there: a cosy, comfortable, clean and warm place run by a bunch of adorable people, always there for advices, recommendations and useful tips. Sleeping alone (not many visitors there !) in this huge empty school may seem a little gloomy and scary (some horror movie vibes ?), you will soon forget about it while enjoying the beautiful scenery surrounding the school, while meeting the villagers and the workers at the tea farm nearby (which were the reason why I went there the first place) and while enjoying the delicious food provided by the hosts (on certain days). These few days were the last of a fantastic month of holidays I spent in Kyushu. Staying there was one of the best ideas I had for sure! お世話になりました!

Kota and Sachi (the hosts) were incredibly kind, accommodating and helpful. Had great conversations with them. Room was warm and tidy. Excellent local restaurant and bar recommendations. E-bike rental service was provided with recommendations on where to visit, how long you'd need etc. Would definitely recommend! 👌

Located in Saikai and only 38 km from Peace Park, Yukinoura Guest House Moritaya provides accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking. Staff was incredibly friendly and treated us very well. It was a pleasure to talk with everyone. The whole place felt like home. I would definitely visit again!

The house is big enough, there is everything you need. If you are looking for a stay in Fukue, don't hesitate for this house.

TSUDOI guest house has a hot spring bath and air-conditioned guest accommodation in Unzen, 47 km from Nagasaki Museum of History, 48 km from Nagasaki Station and 49 km from Oura Catholic Church. It’s right in center of the town, the host provided useful guide to the mountains. Free ticket to the onsen! Besides all that, we had a hot pot together with the host and his friend! It was the best I’ve ever had. 一さん, I wish you have a wonderful trip to New Zealand and we’ll meet again somewhere in the world😁
