Offering a garden and city view, Casa Inka B&B is set in Ollantaytambo, 19 km from Main Square and 19 km from Sir Torrechayoc Church. I had a great stay. It’s a small family run business. The room was clean, the water was hot, and everything was great. The owner is super friendly and happy to answer your questions. It’s a short walk to the main plaza. The breakfast was also great, the best I have had so far in all the budget hostels in Peru. Highly recommend.

Offering rooms with impeccable rustic style décor and garden views, this inn just 30 km off Machu Picchu, features red-tiled terraced Spanish galleries and views of the surrounding scenery. Staying at El Albergue Ollantaytambo was genuinely one of the best decisions we made on the trip, hands down. First off, the location is perfect. Ollantaytambo itself is a fascinating town with a history to match—it’s the only one still using the Inca grid system! Plus, it offers two great, fun treks: the ruins and the granaries. But the real boon is its position right AT the station, making it the ultimate base for Machu Picchu. Getting up a couple of hours earlier than everyone else for the trek is great, but there's nothing better than coming back and immediately checking in instead of having to deal with another grueling 2-4 hour bus ride back to Cusco. It's also much more comfortable being at 9,500 ft instead of the 11,500 ft elevation of Cusco. Beyond the incredible convenience, El Albergue is simply an exceptional hotel in its own right. The service is beyond reproach; everyone on the property was so incredibly friendly and attentive. It truly makes the entire experience. The rooms are impeccably designed and wonderfully comfortable. I have to specifically shout out the gorgeous art throughout the rooms and common areas—it’s stunning, and seemingly much of it is from the proprietor, Wendy Weeks. The on-site amenities are another huge plus. The restaurant has exceptional food, and breakfast starts early (6 a.m.) with a great variety. You absolutely MUST book the wonderful Pachamanca lunch beforehand. They also have a local coffee roastery and a distillery right there; we had a great tour at both and really enjoyed the products, especially the Matacuy. Oh, and there are the most adorable dogs on the property, too! Overall, El Albergue was one of our favorite stays in Peru. We had a great time and are genuinely looking forward to coming back.

Amaru Colonial is a colonial inn in the artistic SanBlas district, 2 blocks from San Blas square. The charming central courtyard features soft lighting and a colorful flower garden. The property was great. It has a beautiful rustic charm fitting of Cusco. The rooms were large, warm, quiet, clean and very comfortable and had great views of the city. The showers were wonderfully hot and bathrooms well kept. Breakfast was fantastic. A great variety of fruit, bread, yogurt, pancakes, and eggs. They also had fresh juice, coffee, and tea. The property had tea, coffee, hot water and filter water available all day which was perfect for enjoying the afternoon on the back verandah. The location was perfect. A easy walk to the city center, shops, restaurantes, and tours. It was an easy location for many tour companies to pick up from the property. The staff were very helpful. They assisted in transport to and from the airport, and stored our luggage while away on a trip until we returned. The property is perfect for solo travelers, couples, and families.

Hosteria de Anita is a lively family-run guest house in the artistic San Blass District, central Cuzco. Mukava henkilökunta, siistit huoneet, kiva miljöö, hyvä aamiainen. He säilyttivät tavaroitamme useaan otteeseen kun kävimme erilaisilla monen päivän retkillä. Saimme myös rauhassa hengailla aulassa ja odottaa yöbussin lähtöä. Ilmainen, aina saatavilla oleva tee oli vielä plussaa!

Offering a shared lounge and city view, Yanuy Culinary Stay and Taste is set in Cusco, 2.7 km from Wanchaq Train station and 600 metres from San Pedro Train Station. Great host, Michael will help you with every inquiry. Good value for your money. Delicious breakfast and take-away option for the case you are doing a tour and have to leave the accommodation early in the morning. For the ladies (and men with long hair): there was a good quality hairdryer in my room. I enjoyed my stay at Michaels house.

Boasting garden views, Magnolia Andina Hostel features accommodation with patio, around 1.6 km from Wanchaq Train station. The staff care of all are need and the place was very good and value

Killitas home&apart offers accommodation within less than 1 km of the centre of Cusco, with free WiFi, and a kitchenette with a microwave, a fridge and kitchenware. The host Sara is very friendly and helpful, she has loads of information of things to do in/around Cusco, and can help book trips. The room was good and i quite enjoyed the breakfasts

Featuring mountain views, Refugio de Mery Lucmabamba offers accommodation with a garden and a terrace, around 19 km from Machu Picchu Historic Sanctuary. Very nice owner. We did a coffee tour here. The hostel had WiFi, very good showers and comfortable beds. The food is very good! They also offer sandwiches for the hike which were good! The location is also very nice. It’s a bit up the mountain but that’s already on the way for the next day and it has a view.
