Casa Das Laranjeiras is an awesome hillside property with an amazing view of the Douro Valley and the Pinhao Quay. Antonio and Cristina, who own and run the place, literally obsess about keeping the property clean and in tip-top shape and are an absolute delight to interact with. Apart from the common kitchen area where one can cook, the rooms themselves are very well furnished including a refrigerator, a nespresso machine (including adequate pods), an automatic citrus juicer, a toaster oven etc. The oranges and the bottle of port wine are a nice gesture. The property is apparently 1700 metres from the Pinhao station and google maps shows it to be a 15 mins walk. However, please note that the route to the property is uphill and may be difficult to do in hot weather. There are limited number of taxis at the Pinhao station, so would be helpful to get the taxi company's contact number before coming. The property is west facing, so one can take a gentle walk to Pinhao station in the early mornings.

I Torre de Moncorvo, 33 kilometer fra De varme kildene i Longroiva og 48 kilometer fra Mirandela-broen, ligger Quintal do Grémio. Fantastic location, outstanding rooms and a lovely couple who has the place. You feel like home. The best stay in Moncorvo. Nils, Jenny, Martin and Lisbeth from Sweden.

Bare 23 kilometer fra Natur Waterpark ligger Quinta da Costinha, som har restaurant, et sesongåpent utendørsbasseng, en hage og en fellesstue. What a fabulous house. Very comfortable, peace and quiet in a lovely small town. The hostess Katiana was exceptionally helpful. Off street parking, pool area. All good.

I Resende, 30 kilometer fra Douro-museet og 31 kilometer fra Santuário de Nossa Senhora dos Remédios, ligger DOURO B&B Avenida. It was just the perfect location and the owner and his wife are terrific and super helpful.

6/4 de Lamego ligger i Lamego, 19 minutters gange fra Santuário de Nossa Senhora dos Remédios, og har boenheter med klimaanlegg i tillegg til gratis WiFi og en terrasse. Loved our rooms at the 6/4 in Lamego! They were exactly as described, very clean, quiet, with good air conditioning (which was definitely needed at 38C), and an excellent breakfast. I would definitely book again
