This renovated farm house is near the end of a farm lane in a quiet area. The interior has been completely updated with very nice appliances and amenities. The bathroom and shower are very modern and spacious. The house is situated in the small hamlet of La Pierre and is adjacent to working farms. So it is not a commercial touristic area. The living area is on the upper floor which gives nice views of the hills and mountains nearby. The living area was very clean and the grounds were manicured and beautiful. A small portion of the farm house is used by the owner. The farm lanes are pleasant for walking. The clothes washing machine AND dryer were helpful. This was a rare property that provided a top sheet under the duvet, which is more comfortable. The boulangerie and TABAC/epicerie in Chauffayer (about 1 mile away) provide the grocery essentials.

Beautifully located and very spacious with all amenities. We were accommodated on a very short notice unfortunately for only one night. We had our dog with and enjoyed the spectacular area on two nice walks. We cooked our own dinner, not sure if there's restaurants nearby. Communication with the host was very friendly and quick. Will return if we can!

This is a comfortable guest house, it is run as a farm and breakfast is between 7:30 and 9am. It is simple food, we had half board and the owners are really helpful and friendly. There is no choice, but all the food is grown on the farm or produced locally and we also had a lovely packed lunch for our hike. Stunning location

Everything! One of our favorite places during a long journey in Europe. The style and care that Barbara has taken in offering such a lovely, comfortable space was deeply appreciated. She even gave us two huge tomatoes towards our al fresco dinner! Most beautiful were the country walking trails and that spectacular view in every direction. We met almost the entire “village” where they play petanque every night. What a special experience.

This apartment is in a small, quiet village. It was great to be in the French Alps without touristic commercialism. The setting is calm and authentic. It feels like a small farm when you sit outside by the garden and orchard. The host Jean-Jacque was very helpful. The apartment itself is modern, spacious, clean, and comfortable. It is also well equipped and well stocked. It was handy to have a clothes washing machine. The furniture is comfortable. The apartment is located at the entrance to the Valgodemard Valley but it is also easy to go around the hill and enter the Champsaur Valley. It is easy to drive in the valleys to visit small farm villages or major, modern ski resorts. There are lots of hiking opportunities. The mountains are impressive and beautiful. The apartment makes a relaxing home base for exploring that part of the Alps.

Awesome place with exceptionally friendly staff. The room was very comfortable and the food comfy and delicious. Great place to stay for discovering the Valgaudemard area. As a bonus... you may be able to hear wolves at night :)
