This was a very charming and beautifully renovated old building with a lovely garden. The 1 bedroom Apt given to us was extremely spacious and very well appointed. The owners had done a fantastic job of a modern interior remodel with an old charming facade of the exterior. Everything was clean and in good working condition. I would highly recommend this facility and if when we travel in that area, I would stay at the same place in a heartbeat. The Gites is located in a small town/village that is relatively close to larger cities, but there is not much in terms of food and shopping other than a few restaurants with limited hours. You will need a car to get to other locations (Carcassonne is about 45 minutes drive) Narbonne is only 15-20 minute drive. Parking is Street Parking only but often there is space available and it is free. Being a small town, it seems very safe.

The breakfast was perfect. Fresh pastry and juice tea yogurt and fruit and cheese. This is a lovely place to stay to soak up local ambience. Margaret is very knowledgeable about the area and friendly. There is a wonderful rooftop terrace with a beautiful view of scenic southern of France. At night the stars are beautiful. The Ginestas area is walkable and beautiful we visited the local Catholic Church that offers Mass on Sunday and was built in the 1600’s amazing. There is a local bakery close by and the restaurant LaTable Casino offers drinks vines and great food. Just lovely.
