The location of Clematis House was perfect for us, in a very pretty village, just a few minutes from Dorchester and a superb base for seeing Dorset. The house was extremely clean and comfortable and was very well equipped to ensure we had an enjoyable stay. The information booklet was comprehensive and contained all the information that we required. The property has a beautiful courtyard garden and is very quiet and peaceful. The welcome tray from the owners was much appreciated.

Superb Breakfast that outshone many hotels. Home cooked with good ingredients that are not cheap. Bacon and sausages where lovely. Well looked after over the breakfast period. Good coffee to which is important to us.

From the second I arrived Nicola at the Old ship was an absolute gem to meet. She was so warm and welcoming. Then showed me to my lovely spacious room. I felt like i was at home in the Old ship. Such a lovely person
