We stayed at Pen-Rhos in “Cuckoo’s Nest for four nights in mid January. The scenery surrounding the ‘cabin’ was breathtaking and there was enough space between each cabin for privacy. The space was small, but perfect for two and had every appliance we needed for meals and hot drinks. The bathroom was clean and the shower heated quicker than ours at home. Llandrindod Wells had a few pubs and grocery stores that were close and convenient. Surrounding cities like Newtown, Rhayader, and Builth Wells were great for pub dinners.

This was a perfect little eco lodge on a working farm in the countryside. We loved our stay, it was a cosy cabin with everything we needed. Trevor was an amazing host, really helpful and welcoming. We purchased some fantastic meat from the farm for the BBQ and also cooked breakfast. Best steak I’ve had in years and would thoroughly recommend! We had a really enjoyable night and would happily recommend to anyone! Thanks for having us!
