We appreciated the location, close to lots of hiking and Balmoral Castle. It had plenty of beds and was spacious. The owner was responsive and kind, especially when a piece of lost luggage was delivered after our stay. She was helpful in coordinating getting the item back to us! The house also had a clothes dryer which we really enjoyed!

Nice quiet woods setting. Was great having 2 bedrooms to spread out and have privacy. The woodburning stove was well stocked and easy to use. Shower worked great. Good amount of towels. Very clean.

Located in a small village off the beaten track, with plenty of parking space at the back of the hotel. The staff were all excellent, attentive, helpful and friendly. We ate in the restaurant in the evening and couldn't fault the meals in any way. We also had a few drinks in the bar before our meal and were impressed with the warm welcome the local villagers gave us, they made us feel as if we were actually at home.

The room had a fridge, tray with cups and plates, cutlery and a kettle. It was very clean and warm. The TV was a good size and had lots of movie channels.
