We spent a beautiful week at Villa Luce. There is wonderful nature: garden with old olive trees and wild flowers, meadows around, fields and greenery. Every day we observed birds, bees and small lizards. The view is perfect. You can feel an italian vibe there. The apartment is comfortable and very well equipped. There is everything you need in the kitchen and bathroom as well. What is always very important for us - the cleanliness was perfect! We came very late at night, but the hosts - Carmela and Giorgio - were waiting for us. We were nicely welcomed and instructed about the house. The outstanding and tasty welcome gifts waited for us too. We stayed in touch with Giorgio by WhatsUp almost every day. He was very caring and asked how are we and if everything was fine. He also recommended us some nice restaurants and bars. We highly recommend Villa Luce for everyone who wants to spend time in peace and quiet in beautiful, close to the nature place.

The family was very welcoming and helpful. The daughter spoke very good English, which helped overcome our almost non existant Italian.The facilities and rooms were very clean and spacious. The kitchen was well equipped with an outdoor bbq if required. The aircon was really cool. There was a lounge with a TV and Netflix. Outside, there was a large private patio with dining tables and an area with swinging chairs sheltered from the sun and overlooking the carrubbo, olive, and fig trees. Very quiet at night. And the local town has several good eating places which don't open until around 7.30 but rapidly fill up when they do. The family has a restaurant and gelateria down at the coast. The ice cream is genuinely wonderful, I have had a lot of Italian ice cream, and this ranks in the top 3. It is a good base to see Modica, Ragusa, and Notto. But we just enjoyed being there for a few days as well.

Everything. Staff & owner great. WiFi connection lost and the owner attended to it immediately. Lovely peaceful location. No mobile signal, but that’s fine as WhatsApp with Wi-Fi. Giarratana a five minute drive away over a hill for groceries & a bar etc. Not really walkable for most people.

We loved it and would definitely return/recommend to friends. Beautiful serene location, clean and comfortable. Kitchen has all the basic necessities. Even though our stay was in November the owner agreed to have the pool ready for us. We were also given the option of earlier check-in against a small fee.

This accommodation is very cute and the location is very ideal for someone driving in Sicily.  It's in the middle of nature in the middle of a valley, very close to Ragusa (10mins drive) and still very quiet and away from all the 'chaos'.  It is ideal for someone who is after some peace and quiet in the Sicilian countryside.  It's surrounded by fields and trees, and it's half a minute walk from a little stream.  It is also around 7 mins drive from Lago Santa Rosalia which is a very nice picnic/bbq area where one can also go for a lovely walk too.  It's also very close to an excellent restaurant called La Capinera (just 1 minute drive). There's private parking and the owners are very welcoming and friendly. We were even welcomed with some fresh orange juice and fresh oranges and grapefruit.  The beds are sofa beds but we found that it was ok (just quite squeaky whenever you turn around in bed).  Please bear that on Booking even though we had listed down the children, somehow the owners weren't notified that we would have 2 children with us, so if you need to open up the 2nd sofabed, it's better to write to the owners directly and inform them as there is some charge for that.  The property is kept very clean and comes with a small basic kitchen which is good for basic things of heating up food while on holiday.  It comes with a small balcony which leads to a bigger terrace, both overlooking fields and countryside.  The larger terrace is shared with the owners' 2nd rental property, however it's quite big.  The children enjoyed playing in the balcony and terrace.  We enjoyed staying in these areas for breakfast in order to take in the surroundings.  When we arrived there, there was a problem with the wifi as the signal was very weak and we couldn't use it, however Luca, the owner took care of this as soon as he can and fixed this.
