We came all the way from Norway to stay at the guesthouse of our favorite wine maker Elgin Vintners! Everything was exceptional; the house, facilities, the staff and of course the fabulous wine. We were so lucky to get a tasting with the wine maker himself. Can't recommend enough, you have to go!

We loved our stay in the cottage. The hosts are welcoming and charming. The set up is bucolic and the surroundings beautiful. The place was clean, cozy and warm. The bedding and the fireplace were on point. We highly recommend!

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and experience here. The beds were so comfortable. The bed linen was superb. The towels were new. Sundowner Cottage was so comfortable and had everything you might need and much more.......The outdoor braai shed was so relaxing. Loved all the furnishings too. The apple orchards looked amazing. The owners were so friendly yet unintrusive. We had such an awesome stay. Top notch self-catering stay whilst enjoying private peaceful time on a farm. Very refreshing.I would happily return here for a longer stay.

Absolutely everything. It was idyllic. Welcoming goodies- lots of beverages and condiments and Braai equipment. House staff and farm staff incredibly friendly and helpful. We had great conversations with Alan!

Perfect to escape the busy city yet very close to the Elgin Railway market and Peregrine farm stall. Quiet and comfy. Wood supplied for the stove and fireplace adding to the country cottage feeling. The nespresso machine and plenty of books rounded off a nice fireplace chill experience.

This place is 11/10, could have stayed here easily a whole month and not just a weekend. The house is spacious and comfortable and the hosts welcoming. The outside area is perfect for kids to run around and to have a BBQ with friends. The animals on the farm just add to the overall charm. There is absolute peace on the farm but it's still close to farmstalls, markets and wineries in the area.
