Marriner's Boutique Guesthouses in Rawene offers bungalows with free parking and free WiFi. Full in-room dinner service is available by arrangement. The guesthouse was stunning with no detail missed. Robyn prepared lamb shanks for us for dinner and they were delicious. Unfortunately we think we stayed at the best accommodation early in our trip and nothing else will begin to compare. Waiotemarama Falls Lodge is a holiday home located in Opononi, 47 km from Kaitaia. Guests benefit from balcony and a sun terrace. Free private parking is available on site. A great place, great house and a great host! A absolut must to stay, but take minimum 2 nights!!!

Situated in Opononi, 1.8 km from Opononi Beach, Hokianga Haven features a restaurant and sea views. This beachfront property offers access to a patio, free private parking and free WiFi. We stayed on the basis of self catering. What we loved about the property was that it exceeded our expectations. The position is wonderful with immediate access to the beach. Whilst there are very few facilities for us in this location (it didn’t matter as that’s why we chose to stay there) there was a hotel where we ate it and the two nights we were there and that was extremely good. There was a local shop where we go to get supplies. On a five week trip to New Zealand, this was one of the highlights!
