A late booking, an even later arrival — yet we were welcomed as though we had been expected all along. This is Austrian hospitality at its finest: warm, unhurried, and genuinely kind. Our room was immaculate, opening to views so magnificent they felt almost painted for us alone. Morning brought the crowning jewel: the most lavish breakfast we have ever experienced. An endless array of fresh, exquisite choices — a feast for both eye and palate. It was also the most expensive breakfast we’ve ever paid for, but every bite justified the indulgence. From first smile to final sip of coffee, absolute perfection. 🐞♥️

It is time to come up with a new rating system for hotels like Neuwirt. Five stars do not capture the uniqueness and perfection of this place which is newly renovated keeping with the authentic style of the region while also providing modern comforts. The old part of the building provides newly renovated simply designed rooms with the most luxurious beds. The rooms in the new part are uniquely designed each offering an unbelievable living experience. Our room had a sauna (which we did not use) and a bathroom with a shower that could fit 6 people. The beds are placed in a way that allows to look out the large patio doors to see the sky. The new rooms have a quiet AC, but we did not use it and opened our doors instead. The best way to describe our experience is to say that we forgot we were in a hotel. We felt home. We loved the restaurant which serves typical meat heavy Austrian food. Delicious.

The hosts Hanni and Anton were charming and very attentive. The chalet is superb and newly refurbished. Slightly out of town but a couple of miles from a really lovely swimming lake Haarbergsee. Few hundred meters from extra fast ev charger. Highly recommended walk to Bluntautal Lakes and waterfall. Fantastic!

Beautiful setting, friendly staff, amazing delicious breakfast. Location is great for day trip to Salzburg (easily done on public transport). Also a short drive down the hill to a swimming lake. Didn’t want to leave!!
