Ruud, the owner of this absolutely peaceful little B&B, called me immediately after I confirmed my booking: "Zdenka, I think you should probably find another hotel. We don't offer high floors or the strongest view." For context: I always add a few wishes in the Special Requests section when making a reservation. Such wonderfully unnecessary modesty. 💖 Because this turned out to be exactly the strongest view Tristar and I needed. Butterflies dancing around us, pine cones under our feet, and our noses immersed in the scent of the forest. 🌲 Absolute happiness. Ruud & Chiara made our stay even more special with their incredibly warm-hearted hospitality. They had prepared everything perfectly, including a cozy bed, blanket and bowl for Tristar, and the room welcomed us with soft lamps already glowing. Waiting for us was also a handwritten postcard wishing us a wonderful stay—a small gesture that made us feel genuinely welcome from the very first moment. Leaving after two days and seeing Chiara waving from afar in my rear-view mirror, it genuinely felt as if home itself was waving goodbye. These two truly understand what Bed & Breakfast means. They don't just provide a place to stay—they create that priceless feeling every traveler hopes to find: A place that truly feels like home. 🩷
