Ideal location in a sleepy French village. Just perfect. The whole experience from meeting the hosts to saying goodbye was exceptional. Greeted with a glass or two of wine. Relaxing chat and sharing experiences. Felt comfortable, relaxed, invited, warm, valued and trusted. The accommodation is beyond belief, just the perfect place. The hosts enquired regarding menu options at a nearby restaurant. Above and beyond. I will have no doubt I will be using the accommodation again. I have no problem recommending Les Grues.

We had the most wonderful stay. We had dinner the night of our arrival. Top notch gourmet food that accommodated my dietary needs. Breakfast was over the top scrumptious with homemade jams and an array of meats, cheeses and pastries. The rural location was magical, quiet and on the edge of a delightful village called Yviers. A week later we returned for an unexpected night with dinner and breakfast again. The hosts, Bernd and Lise went beyond the call of duty to take care of us. Our luggage got lost and re-routed through Amsterdam. We only stayed one night but Bernd spent the next four days tracking it down. His fluency in Dutch and French and persistence in solving our dilemma was a Godsend. Le Boisdalon is a labor of love and it is reflected in the care, joy, humor and special attention that the hosts provide. For us, it was an unforgettable experience and has become the highlight of our month long vacation in France.

Everything was excellent.... only we couldn't use the swimming pool and it was about 30 degrees but of course, understandable, it's already October...

The host was friendly and helpful, the place was very well equipped, very clean and perfect for all my needs. there was a great view, secure parking, and two very friendly dogs. ideal location for myself.
