The hosts received us very nice and gave us a lot of explanation on what's to see in the Alsace area, like real regional ambassadors. The appartment itself was very nice: modern, spaceous, and foreseen of about everything we needed. The kitchen was well equipped and there was a big fridge too. Also nice to have a balcony to set on in the evening. Furthermore, the village where the appartment is, is really quiet, the neighbors (a nest of storks) were the only ones to be heard in the early morning.

The location was wonderful. Both rooms had a view of a stork's nest with (with young storks and parents). It's a quiet town, full of lovely wooden houses with beautiful gardens and a very chilled atmosphere. We only had one night's stay, as we were on route to Italy, but I'd love to go there for a holiday. It's a very relaxing place. The breakfast was brilliant - local produce and lots of it. The terrace is great. We arrived after a long drive from the UK and sat on the terrace with our books for a couple of hours. If you're feeling frazzled, this is the place to visit. Also, the shower was great and there's a lovely library to sit in if it's chilly outside.

My husband and I recently had the pleasure of staying at la gite de grand mere, and I can confidently say it was an experience like no other. From the warm hospitality of the hosts to the stunning decor and ambiance, every aspect of our stay was nothing short of perfection. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the Pascal, whose kindness and genuine warmth set the tone for the entire visit. He went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcome and at home throughout our stay. He and Franck's passion for hospitality was evident in every interaction, making us feel like cherished guests rather than just visitors. The attention to detail in every corner of the property was truly remarkable. Rustic charm seamlessly blended with modern comfort, creating a really special atmosphere. I wouldn't hesitate for a moment to return to la gite de grand mere. It was the perfect quiet Christmas escape!

The entire check in process from start to finish was easy, and the staff more than helpful. The food was outstanding and there was a wide variety of drinks from the bar. There was private parking for our bikes and access was easy and available. The room was very well laid out with a nice desk and large closet. I am a super fan of bathtubs and this one was comfy with good water pressure and plenty of hot water. More than anything I have to thank the staff for their great suggestions from the hotel menu to hikes and restaurants. This hotel was well worth the stay and excellent value for money

The place is really nice and the Valerie was really friendly and nice, we felt home. Her dog Patrick is really nice and easy-going. We had all the facilities, help and tips from her. Really recommend it!
