“You get what you pay for. Low budget hotel, friendly staff and excellent location. The rooms and facilities are basic but adequate. If you just need somewhere to lay your head the Hillingdon does the job. I was attending a sculpture course nearby so it suited my needs perfectly.”
“Good value for money, much cheaper than other hotels in the area, definitely lives up to the self proclaimed 'budget hotel' label. Nice having a microwave and kettle in the room, as well as full en-suite facilities. Electric fans being provided was a godsend. Room was fine given we were out most of the time, and taken merely as somewhere to sleep and shower, the hotel was perfectly adequate. Location is also good, being a 20 minute walk from Reading Town Centre.”
“Feels more homely and comfortable than a budget chain hotel. Very comfortable. Friendly welcome and nice breakfast. Stayed here 3 times now and always pick it over other low cost hotels in the town centre.”
“How clean and nice looking it was. I expected a low budget poor hotel for the price we paid but we were offered complimentary drinks on arrival and the atmosphere was lovely. £8.99 for a buffet breakfast and kids eat free, cheaper than harvester! (If you're in the mood for dinner, check out Bill's approx 5 mins walk away from hotel, amazing)”
“I've stayed in a lot of budget hotels, up and down the country but this is clearly the best so far! The bar and restraunt and very cheap and everyone is extremely friendly”
