We stayed at Malvasia Traditional Hotel for two nights and truly enjoyed the experience of staying inside the historic Monemvasia Castle. Our room was spacious, rustic yet very well maintained, with an excellent bathroom and a beautiful view overlooking the sea and the town. It was very much in keeping with the unique character and atmosphere of the castle. The breakfast was very good, with a nice variety and good quality. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the service throughout our stay was excellent. We particularly appreciated the thoughtful gesture of a complimentary bottle of wine, offered to us to celebrate our wedding anniversary. It was a lovely personal touch that made our stay even more special. Overall, Malvasia Traditional Hotel offers a wonderful combination of history, character, comfort and warm hospitality. Staying within the castle itself makes the experience truly memorable, and we would happily recommend it.

Georgia was wonderfully accommodating and full of information and relevant tid-bits. The house is enormous, and comfortable. Think modern amenities with a medieval twist. The house cleaner who we met the next day was super sweet too and had already done a thorough job. Word to the wise - see the video Georgia will send you - twice. Otherwise you will be looking for the right Vecchia Casa for a while. Moreover, turn the key to the left and while keeping it turned to the left push the door - Otherwise it won't open. Everything works well and the views are a killer.

The view was to die for - there was a huge deck with a beautiful view of the town. We sat on the deck and enjoyed the view of the water and the town and had such a beautiful moment. The house is also right next to a ruined church, which was beautiful. The house itself is very cute and ancient, with the thick stone walls, beautiful woodwork, wooden shutters, and cute little fireplace. It is very well done and modern, however. The only caution I would give is that the stairs are quite steep, if you are elderly or disabled it might be difficult for you, as well as the steep road up to the house itself. But as long as you are fairly able-bodied, you're good. The host was so kind, he gave us great advice on enjoying the town and was able to answer specific questions we had. I also left my tablet by accident in the house and he met us at the entrance of the fortress to return it, which was so kind! My stay at the

The ladies working at the reception gave me all detailed information about the apartment. They even offered me, for the same price, an upgrade with a view, which I did not accept because I wanted this specific apartment. The temperature was perfect, a non-always granted occurrence in winter in Greece. The fireplace was magical; I even roasted chestnuts in aluminum foil inside it. The bed comfortable and the shower energizing. This place is right in the middle of the old city. You can conveniently go anywhere from there. Breakfast is in another building with a view and many super cute cats, not too far. I am 58; I imagine that if I were having disabilities, I would not be able to enjoy Monemvasia, because of its architectural peculiarity. Since thanks to the Lord I was fit, I really loved so much to be there. Thanks to Leona and to all the staff for their excellent job.

Katharina and Jakob, the hosts, were exceptional. Very sweet, friendly, and flexible. Katharina makes the best omlettes(fantastic) with eggs from their own chicken farm and also feta with pastry (delicious). Very close by car to Monemvasia castle and many restaurants. Highly recommended for a pleasant stay.
