The onsen was closed when I checked in and they let me go inside moreover the staff was so polite and cool we were drinking sake together and they even gave me a free unbrella when they saw me walking under the rain

The room was very large including the private onsen on the balcony. Which was amazing after some very busy travel and tourist days. The staff were very helpful and accommodating.

We had an exceptional stay at Goen no Mori. I would highly recommend it to anyone seeking a traditional onsen/ryokan experience. The food was also amazing and 100% plant-based, which makes this place a no-brainer for any vegans exploring Japan, like us. :)

Very clean and the facilities are new. The rooftop onsen is nice but the sunshine is very strong in the morning. Staff cannot speak English but translator can help. Overall very nice experience.

Very local hotel that totally suits the Atami vibe! The staff were very helpful and the location is quite convenient, just beside a 7-11, and walking distance to all the attractions we wanted to see.

Very good location, there’s a nice area nearby with lots of good restaurants. But the best thing about the apartment is the onsen, which is such a great experience. Imagine staying outside in a hot onsen (covered by a roof and very private, no one sees you) while it is raining! The place has everything you need, you can dry the towels, you can make tea or even prepare a meal if needed. The host is super responsive and accommodating. Definitely recommend!

We loved the traditional style room, the quiet and the birdsong in the mornings. Also loved the room, the futons were really comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
