Beautiful view of the water, great location not far from train, very easy to find and no detail, no matter how small was missed. The homemade slippers are pretty awesome too😎

I found a place away from the city life, where nature is at its best. Sound of the river water, birds chirping, no noise.

This place is really nice clean and they have thought about everything. I traveled with my kids and they had games things from then to do in the house it was awesome I will be staying here in the future

I loved the space and the bathroom. There was enough space it didn't feel too small. The bed and blankets were very nice as well. Recommend! Right across from the Odawara Castle and an easy walk from the train station.

Location just next to Gora Station which is excellent and easy. Clean and comfortable- we stayed in dorm for one night and it still was very convenient, quiet and we could use an onsen.

Super cozy, friendly staff who also speak English. Showers are shared but you have comfortably large individually lockable compartments.

This newly renovated building mixing traditional design and modern amenities. The staff is really nice and the breakfast served was excellent. I loved the vibe and it's just a short walk from Hakone Yumato station.

We absolutely loved this place - totally enjoyed the private outdoor onsen, all the staffs are very friendly, the ryokan is right next to a bus stop so access is not an issue, we also received a transport guide after booking which was very helpful. The room is also very cleaned and comfortable. Definitely value for money!!

The place was perfect. The staff were really nice and some of them speak English really well. They were always helpful. The food was delicious and it was so nice to have breakfast and dinner there (don’t miss the dinner). Everything was vegan, made with local and organic veggies. We will definitely go again on our next trip to Japan.

Everything was beyond expectations! The location was great, the staff was really helpful and informative and kind, the facilities were lovely and clean, and the capsule bed was cute and very comfortable. Absolutely great value for money, especially in such a touristic area.

A beautiful and very peaceful place to stay. The room was spacious, especially compared to the small hotel rooms in Tokyo, and it was decorated in a traditional Japanese style. It was my first time sleeping on a futon, and I really enjoyed the experience. The room didn't have a private shower, but that wasn't an issue at all. There are hot spring baths (onsen) with showers and a sauna, so it was very convenient to wash there. Overall, I was very impressed with my stay and would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for an authentic Japanese experience.

Very quiet and nice location, train station Hakone-Yumoto within walking distance. The room is incredibly clean and well-equipped. All the facilities are in very good condition, especially the toilet and the kitchen. We really enjoyed our short stay in Hakone!

There were five people including myself who took the stay. There was more than enough space. Very well organized. I felt like I was living in a home that I saw in anime. The house itself looked like another tourist spot. All the miniatures kept were a great addition to the ambience. A kitchen with a stove, plates, pans, microwave, kettle, charging ports and everything we needed to feel like home. There was a family mart available from a very short distance to the place. The Tatami experience was great, every room has good Air conditioning as required. The bus station is very near, which can connect directly to the Hakone-yamato station. The stay is totally worth the cost. I'd highly recommend it especially for a group of friends. Looking forward to booking again in future.

The hotel was a very nice surprise when we visited Japan. The shared bathroom was a unique experience, the traditional room was worth the visit and the hotel offered a very relaxing onsen. It is in a nice location (near bus stations, among trees), with very friendly and helpful staff.

Both the private and public onsens are beautiful and the meals are spectacular both in terms of visuals and taste! The staff are some of the kindest hotel staff I've ever met and they made sure everything is absolutely perfect for me. The room I stayed in was spot-free clean, very comfortable and, as a plus-size woman, I truly appreciated the yukata size-up options I was kindly offered before I even had to ask!!! Another great point was the fact that it was just a 9minute walk away from the Choanji Buddhist Temple, which is not included much in the "must see" lists of Hakone on the internet, but it is a spectacular temple with a mini forest PACKED with statues of all shapes and kinds. The walk on the temple grounds was such an amazing experience. Would definitely love to visit Mount View Hakone again!

Generously sized room, beautiful view of the valley all the way down to Odawara and the sea, wonderful facilities particularly the extensive onsen with different options for heated pools indoor & outdoor - a special experience sitting in the rock pool up a level, surrounded by forest and with snow falling down. Hotel staff were also very helpful and welcoming.

Super clean super comfortable

The receptionist was really friendly, upon arrival he made us feel completely at home. He gave us a bigger room, gave us advices, made nice food, accommodated all our needs, and most importantly had a nice chat with us.

Very cool big place to stay at, almost like a camp lodge on a hilltop, minus the campfire.

Perfect location - very close to the Ropeway station and the cable car. The staff were wonderful and very accommodating of a vegetarian diet for the 4 days of our stay. Definitely recommend for the kindness of the staff alone. The Onsens are also lovely! This place is perfect for a relaxing weekend getaway!

The room was sooooooo nice. Great view and wonderful fixtures. But what made this a once in a lifetime stay was the owner. She picked us up from a nearby onsen in a typhoon after noticing we didn’t make it back while all taxis and buses were shut down. Truly a lifesaver and so grateful for our stay at Kappa Tengoku!
