“River view is nice. Relatively new and clean. Cheap and cheerful. Staff were friendly and helpful, but not what you'd get for twice the price. ”
“New and very clean hotel with cheap laundry facilities and included breakfast. Good internet connection and climate control. ”
“The free shuttle service was excellent to and from the station. We ate at the Nikko Tokanso for breakfast and dinner and both were delicious. We ate the Japanese selection and observed others eating the western breakfast which was just as hearty. This place is not in the centre of town but ten minutes walk to the national park and the the bus stop but a lovely and quiet setting. The onsen is lovely as is the outdoor rotenburo. I would definitely recommend staying at this budget hotel as excellent value for money.”
“A large room with twin beds and a six tatami mat seating area. Bench seats under the window with fabulous lake views. Food was plentiful if not exceptional but for the price, and beer, cheap Italian wine, shochu cocktails, Nihonshu (sake) and whiskey included in unlimited quantities throughout dinner, it was excellent value. I did not try the onsen (there was a decent sized bath in the room) but my Japanese friend said it was very good.”
“Location, on the shore of Lake Chuzenji with good view of the Lake from our room on 3rd Floor. Only 3 min walk from nearest bus stop and about 10-15 min to bus terminus. Willing and friendly staff, particularly the Manager. Newly renovated room, very clean and spacious - can put in 1 or two folding beds. Price is cheaper than similar hotels around the Lake. Good value for money.”
