United StatesThis rental house felt just like home! We had the entire house to ourselves, and our daughter really enjoyed the toys and books that were in the house. There is a huge collection of toys, board games, and Japanese children's books, including picture books and manga. Very comfortable and felt like we were right at home. Clean, well kept, with plenty of utensils, and clear instructions (in both Japanese and English) posted everywhere on how to operate electrical appliances and heaters.

JapanIt really is a great location. Takeda station connects two different train lines, one which can take you to Kyoto, and another that can go to Nara. As a home base, it was a great starting point. The actual room itself is extremely comfortable as well, and the convenience can’t be beat for a long stay.

IndiaGreat location, just a 5-10 minute walk from the train station, making it super convenient. There’s also a LUUP stand right next to the hostel, perfect for renting bikes and exploring the area.
The staff is excellent… fluent in English, very helpful, and proactive. I had a minor foot injury during my stay, and they went above and beyond to assist me. They helped set up an appointment with a doctor and provided detailed options for nearby hospitals, which was incredibly reassuring.
The hostel itself is well-equipped with all the necessary amenities, and the staff truly stands out for their efficiency and friendliness.
A highlight of my stay was the game night.. playing Mario Kart with others was so much fun! The hostel has a warm and social atmosphere. Highly recommend staying here!

This was the best accommodation of my three week Japan cycle tour. Both traditional and western style rooms were incredible with high quality bedding, beautiful features and gentle lighting. The accommodation is spotlessly clean throughout. There’s free laundry facilities and even beer in the kitchen area 🥰. The staff were helpful with storing my bike.

I loved that it's in a residential neighbourhood that's a few doors away from Tea Square Morihan and tea plantations in the surrounding areas. The inn was very clean, spacious and felt like home. Highly recommend to anyone looking to stay on the outskirts of Uji!

Uji is a wonderful town and a good base to explore Osaka, Nara, Kyoto, and Uji itself. This hostel is conveniently located close to the train station.
The hostess at the front desk was very helpful and explained everything at check-in. Excellent communal facilities with washer, dryer, nice showers with great water pressure, tea, fridges, basic kitchen, and free draft beer!
If you are on a budget, they have very nice private rooms or dormitory style rooms that are well equipped.

I arrived at the hotel 2 hours before check in time completely soaked, hoping I could drop my bags off at least so I could move freely. The owner was really nice and let me check in early.
- Really nice owner and staff, who possess basic English
- Room was much spacier than I expected, I had 3 beds all to myself, as well as a table, clothes rack, TV, etc
- Kitchen area fulfilled my needs for 1 night
- Toilet rooms were clean
- Hibike Euphonium art on the walls
- Location is perfect for Uji
