Located very close to the main tourist street in Uji, and a lot of the main attractions are close by too, such as the bridge and shrines. Extremely worth for the price. Shower is quite small, but it gets the job done. There is a fridge, water cooler and clothes rack in the room, plus a locker to store your luggage in. The owner is extremely friendly and likes collecting coins from foreign countries! If you come from overseas i would encourage bringing some to help out his collection!

It really is a great location. Takeda station connects two different train lines, one which can take you to Kyoto, and another that can go to Nara. As a home base, it was a great starting point. The actual room itself is extremely comfortable as well, and the convenience can’t be beat for a long stay.

Such an amazing and beautiful hotel! In fact it’s the best hotel we have stayed at in Japan having visited Tokyo, Kyoto, Nara and Osaka. Our room was really big compared to most hotels we’ve been to in Japan. It even has its own balcony! The hotel has a rooftop bar too which is a nice touch.

Our room was very clean, cosy and it had a super comfortable bed. There was also a public bath downstairs, free toiletries, and a laundromat. We were really pleased with the hotel. Totally recommended.

Extremely comfortable, staff super gently and polite, I lost my wallet in the room after checkout, when I went back to the hotel to check if they have find it. It was separated in a shelf with our room number. Everything well organized. It’s a definitely GO I love it

The whole house was very nice. We really love it. It was very kid-friendly. The surrounding area is quiet and safe, within walking distance of Uji walking streets. A supermarket and a bridge over the river were not very far. A folder of neighborhood suggestions laid out on the table was very appreciated.

This was the best accommodation of my three week Japan cycle tour. Both traditional and western style rooms were incredible with high quality bedding, beautiful features and gentle lighting. The accommodation is spotlessly clean throughout. There’s free laundry facilities and even beer in the kitchen area 🥰. The staff were helpful with storing my bike.

I loved that it's in a residential neighbourhood that's a few doors away from Tea Square Morihan and tea plantations in the surrounding areas. The inn was very clean, spacious and felt like home. Highly recommend to anyone looking to stay on the outskirts of Uji!

Uji is a wonderful town and a good base to explore Osaka, Nara, Kyoto, and Uji itself. This hostel is conveniently located close to the train station. The hostess at the front desk was very helpful and explained everything at check-in. Excellent communal facilities with washer, dryer, nice showers with great water pressure, tea, fridges, basic kitchen, and free draft beer! If you are on a budget, they have very nice private rooms or dormitory style rooms that are well equipped.

I arrived at the hotel 2 hours before check in time completely soaked, hoping I could drop my bags off at least so I could move freely. The owner was really nice and let me check in early. - Really nice owner and staff, who possess basic English - Room was much spacier than I expected, I had 3 beds all to myself, as well as a table, clothes rack, TV, etc - Kitchen area fulfilled my needs for 1 night - Toilet rooms were clean - Hibike Euphonium art on the walls - Location is perfect for Uji
