What did we like? Everything! We were there for the Operation Market Garden commemorations and the property is located just a fifteen minute walk from the drop zone, where, indeed, I parachuted on one of the commemoration days. And if you are into that part of history, then you are within easy reach by car of all the British sites from the battle: the Airborne Museum at the Hartenstein in Oosterbeek, the Airborne Cemetery, alsoin Oosterbeek, Arnhem Bridge, the St Elisabeth's Hospital, the Old Church in Oosterbeek, and many other sites. The village of Heelsum is delightful: clean, quiet, well-kept. There is a supermarket just a few minutes walk from the property, also a place where you can rent bikes. The property itself is comfortable, clean and well equipped, with a strong "at-home" feel to it. You can sit outside on the small porch and enjoy a meal there, and even though it is close to the main house where the hosts live, you have all the privacy you need. As for the hosts: I have stayed at many B&B-type properties in the Netherlands and France, and Betty and Sjaak are the kindest, most considerate, and helpful hosts you could hope to have. We are definitely going back. What a wonderful trip we had!

Incredible accommodation. An old church transformed into a B&B with respect to the old building. The host is wonderful. Everything was great.

A very comfortable place with everything you need. The garden is secluded and the park is very quiet. We ate vegetables from the garden, as we were told we could. The area is great for walks and cycling. There are three bikes in the shed available for use by guests, one of which is an Ebike. The bed is very comfortable and we slept really well.

The owner was very patient and pleasant. As we arrived late, he had to come back to hand over the key and take us to the chalet late in the evening. The chalet was very clean and comfortable fully equipped with all modern comfort and nicely decorated. Although we did not use the terrace nor the garden, they were very beautifully maintained and were very pleasant to look at. The location is very quiet. We appreciated to be in the countryside with easy access to the motorway to visit around.

Surprised by the High standard of the cottage, high ceiling, wonderful furniture, great kitchen, great coffee machine (Jura), very comfortable furniture & beds, huge garden with various tables and chairs, fenced so our dog could run around.
