Karlsson's Guesthouse is a wonderful place for people who like to wake up to fresh sea breeze and who does not like crowded places. You will feel like you own the entire beach because it's just you and the dogs. You can join the locals in the morning to harvest seashells when it's low tide. It is a very peaceful place. Your stress will go away as you listen to the waves at night. I am satisfied with the internet connection. Sometimes it gets interrupted but I'm glad I could still connect with my mobile data. I believe you can get some work done from here. Staff is easy to talk to. Nice people! Important -- if you don't have a motorbike or a car, then it's best to arrange your own transportation in advance because it can be challenging to get to and from the place. Make sure to have some food as well. Or you can walk on the beach and visit a nearby resort for food. The place is near Tulapos Marine sanctuary, which is great! Overall, Karlsson's Guesthouse is good value for money.

We will never forget our time at the Bangka Beach Guesthouse. Hosts Jared and Camilla were amazing, the nicest people we have met in the Philippines! They were extremely helpful as well as the staff, they were so kind and attentive. One example - our bag ripped at the seem and Mark the chef brought it home to fix up. The next morning it was back with us in pristine condition. The location was perfect. We were able to rent a scooter for the day & we spent it travelling around the island, it was unforgettable - thanks to Jared and Camilla for allowing us to rent! Their wonderful son Makoi and beautiful dog Jaka also deserve a special shoutout for making our trip so special. We will definitely be back in the future, think we would have stayed there forever if we could but an extra night was all that our itinerary allowed ❤️
