A bright small house with everything we need and more. Is a old house outside but inside is so well decorated that we feel the sun inside. And after that surprise we realize that we have a big welcome gift - fruit, handmade bread, cheese, wine, yogurts, juices, butter,... - all for free. All the village people were so friendly and caring.

With genuinely friendly and caring hosts, Zion's Jardim is set in a lovely pastoral landscape filled with birdsong, flowers, olive and cork trees, and possesses an unobstructed view of Monsanto (just a few kilometers away). Large, quiet, and very clean rooms within a beautiful typical stone Portuguese house allow for a good night's sleep, and the large pergola is simply perfect to enjoy a lovely breakfast that might include fresh homemade bread, with pear or fig jams, and veggies picked that morning from the garden.

We had the whole house at our disposal. The owners are extremely friendly and hospitable. We had homemade cakes and fresh fruit from the owners' farm in the fridge. We learned many interesting facts about the history of the town and the surrounding area from the owners. The owner recommended us to visit the extremely interesting town of Idanha-a-Velha. We enjoyed our stay at Casa Mont'Santo. The house was remarkably spacious and comfortable. The house has four levels. First floor - kitchen and living room. Second floor: Bedrooms and bathroom/shower. Third floor: Another bedroom with a private balcony. Fourth floor: Large rooftop terrace with a small hut containing the laundry facilities. The house is located near the top of the town, a short walk to everything that you might want to visit. There is even a few places to park a small car nearby, with more just down the road. We enjoyed exploring the town and castle. There are a few small restaurants nearby.
