The location is fantastic. You find everything on the street. It was a very friendly hostel and I loved getting to know people there that were doing the same slow boat trip to Luang Prabang. I booked the slow boat directly from the hostel, which is convenient and there was a pick up tuk tuk in the morning to take us to the pier. Also, you could order on the day before a packed lunch for you to take (I guess I payed 35.000 kips). I highly recommend this hostel 🥰

You pay for what you get, crossing the border, spending the night. Booked in here my slow boat ticket. People in reception very kind. Wifi working, normal speed. Don't expect a lot on this town, you are just in passage.

The host was very helpful. She was very flexible with payment options and also arranged our slowboat ticket+transfer for a good price. The room was spacious and very clean. Shower takes a minute to heat up but no problem. Free bottled water in the room. Right on the main road of Huay Xai close to the restaurants and stores.
