I really enjoyed the tours with her to learn more about the Amazonian way of life, flora and fauna. Swimming in the mangroves was paradise. The accommodation is very relaxed and has all that you need including perfectly working AC (powered by solar PV). Breakfast is really nice with a different cake and selection of fruits every morning. And do not miss to have dinner there. The moqueca is fabulous :-)

John is a wonderful host, he facilitated our transfers, helped organize the buffalo tour and was a delight to talk to. Joanes beach is very beautiful and we saw an amazing moon rise there. The pousada is super comfortable, from the bed, to shower, reliable internet service and the wonderful pool. Breakfast was hearty with eggs, fruit juice, coffee, fruits, sandwiches and John’s yummy banana bread. I had a serious health issue during our stay and had to seek emergency care. John drove us to the ER and waited until I was released, which took half a day and took us back to the pousada. We absolutely loved this stay and highly recommend. John is a super host!
