It was clean, modern, and very quiet. I was a late check-in, and reception was easy. Bed was very comfortable and the shower was very nice. While it is about 20 minutes outside Matane, it is worth the distance. I have stayed at multiple spots in town while traveling, and most are outdated and loud road noise. Motel M is in a small town and exceptionally quiet with modern appeal.

The highlight was a freshly cooked breakfast with locally sourced products. Located at a stone throw of the beach and Jardins de Metis.

Facing the beachfront, Auberge Café Acadien offers 2-star accommodation in Bonaventure and has a garden, terrace and restaurant. Among the various facilities are a bar and barbecue facilities. We enjoyed a very comfortable, cozy stay in the châlet behind the restaurant and a wonderful breakfast. It was equipped with all the amenities we needed, incorporated nature in the decor, and we had good space for our one-night stay. It was nice to be a stone's throw from a delightful dinner at the restaurant and the included hearty, hot breakfast options the next morning. The staff were wonderful and there's a parking lot for the auberge, but we used the public parking, which is abundant. It is very walkable to downtown and it is near the lighthouse and neighbors a camping and beach area.

Auberge Bruine Océane is a 4-star property situated in Matane, facing the sea. A hot tub and a bicycle rental service are available for guests. There was a suspension on the breakfast so we had none. The room was pleasant, quiet and clean.

A kitchen or kitchenette is featured in each unit at this Carleton-Sur-Mer motel. A bar is located on site. Free WiFi is included. Miguasha National Park is 20 km away. Our King room had a small but well equipped kitchette, 2 chairs, good variety of English and French TV channels, a comfy bed and a nice shower! The reception staff was super helpful and there was a small bar with nice windows. We liked the handy access of parking at our room door. The waterfront boardwalk is a quick walk across the road.

What great experience at B&B tranquilles! M Roussy is a superhost. The breakfast was delicious! I'll be back next year.
