We were genuinely and pleasantly surprised by this hotel! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the owner himself and felt truly cared for by the entire team throughout our stay. The property is beautiful – spacious, rustic in the best possible way, and maintained to an impressively high standard for this region. What stood out most was the discreet and attentive staff: always present when needed, without ever being intrusive. You can feel they genuinely care about the well-being of their guests. All tours were organized directly through the hotel – smoothly, reliably, and tailored to our preferences. Transportation was also fully taken care of, which made everything stress-free. The meals were freshly prepared with care and love – a lovely touch that added to the overall experience. The pool was a great spot to relax after our adventures in the jungle. No request was ever turned down – we truly felt at home. One thing is certain: the next time we return to the Amazon, we will stay here again!

Very convenient hotel next to airport. Very nice people. Our flight was delayed so we were so glad they had given us such a hearty delicious breakfast before we left. The proprietor has a Tuk Tuk so he can take you part way with a 5 minute walk to the entrance of the airport. Also we got a ride the evening before departure to the city center to have dinner. Another convenience was the laundry service with the clothes returned the same day.

Cabañas Dechi yang berlokasi in Puerto Nariño menyediakan akomodasi dengan WiFi gratis serta taman dengan teras dan pemandangan danau. Charlie, Nazdi and their family and friends who work there are all such lovely people. Charlie did everything to help and give advice and there was no pressure to spend money with him (tours, breakfast, lunch etc). We decided to do a night tour, Lake Tarapoto tour and lunch and it was all so worth it. Charlie's tours are in español so with our basic Spanish Charlie's was patient, slow talking and hand gestures, as nature/animal lovers we loved it! Charlie also said he had an English translator that he could contact if we were to do other tours (Peru tour for example). The prices were fair and the same as other we'd been quoted and we absolutely wanted to go with Charlie over anyone else as he has such a lovely, happy, excited, friendly way about him, he was just as excited as us when we saw things :) Charlie arranged our boat there and back for us, and we were met by Daniel at the dock who took us on a small boat a short walk to the accommodation so not once did we have to walk through town with our bags. The location of the accommodation is only a beautiful 5/10 minute walk to town (another great opportunity to spot new species of birds), all paved paths. It is lit up at night so safe to walk back at night too. The accommodation has 2 big ponds which the hut (and hammock) face. In here Charlie is breeding Pirarucú to give back to the amazon, as these are majorly fished by locals. ALSO, currently in the ponds with them is Fermin, 1 of 2 small Caiman who have made home there and will leave when they are ready. We looked out for them every day and could often spot a cute little head out of the water. We also had a regular visiting frog in our shower or toilet, which still to this day we did not ask if it was poisonous 🤣 we lived in harmony though. Here at the property try and find time to relax there for some time as when we did this we saw multiple species of birds and a small monkey (Leon Cito we think) !!!

She helped us organising a taxi and choosing a good restaurant. We got a small breakfast even though we left really early. The pool was clean and refreshing.

Fray and the guys are the best! I love this place and would stay here over and over again. All the little animals are wonderful and everyone was so helpful in getting around. There are tours and guides available and Puerto Nariño is so relaxed and tranquil. It’s a wonderful experience and I highly recommend it

The architecture of the hotel was very beautiful. It is a very nice mix of traditional indigenous architecture, but with all the comfort of a modern house. It’s very clean, and with a lot of nature around. It is very central but very quiet at night. Amazing place!
