Oso the dog showed us the way to a beautiful waterfall and swimming place nearby. Sarapiqui is a nice region, a lot of nature to explore without crowds. Don't hesitate, just book this place. You won't regret it.

We loved everything .We stayed here 5 years ago so returned with friends, this time. We were all very impressed with the professional staff and their friendliness and willingness to help us out.The morning nature tour was magnificent, saw plenty of wildlife and our guide Talvo was informed and so helpful and knowledgeable and had a lovely persona.Accomodation was very good, housekeeping changed sheets after 2 nights, plenty of towels and a good shower. We ate in the canteen for all meals except one.We went out to the local town one night for dinner and was very disappointed. Meals were excellent in the canteen and good value.La Selva is a very special place and if you are interested in wildlife put this on your itinerary, you won't be disappointed

Casa Ecológica - Sarapiqui is a holiday home featuring a garden with a terrace, located in La Virgen. The property features views of the mountains and is 49 km from San José. Wendy and her family were fantastic hosts. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend Sarapiqui 2 to other travellers. Waking up to the sound of Howler Monkeys is something that we will never forget!

We had a fantastic stay at Mirador Prendas. The view from the outlook was exceptional. We saw many types of birds, including the rare great green macaw. Loved the views, the food, the friendly staff and the walk to the waterfall.

Yatama Rainforest Ecolodge is located at the middle elevations of the Costarican rainforest, known as Horquetas de Sarapiqui. This rural community is full of activities and lush tropical gardens. This is a fantastic way to see wildlife in a remote jungle setting -- a former research station run by Pedro, a very knowledgeable and welcoming host. Pedro led us on a night hike and a day hike, where we saw monkeys, frogs, and a fantastic variety of birds.
