Featuring a business centre, an outdoor pool, and a state-of-the-art fitness centre with city views, Holiday Inn Guayaquil Airport offers free Wi-Fi and buffet breakfast in Guayaquil. We needed to stay overnight between flights and I was very nervous given the city's reputation. The hotel is by far your safest option for short term stays, it is 2-300 meters from the terminal, you can easily walk it if you don't have luggage, the hotel entrance is just by the security checkpoint, so all safe. We took the complimentary hotel shuttle, had someone waiting for us in the terminal. They have a dedicated entrance/exit in the airport parking so the transfer takes 2 minutes. Swimming pool was nice and you have a nice view of planes coming in to land. Room was clean and with all amenities you would expect.

Unipark by Oro Verde Hotels is located beside Parque Seminario and within Unicentro Shopping Mall, opposite the Metropolitan Cathedral and just 3 blocks from Malecón 2000. The buffet in the morning was exceptional. Great variety of food. Also, there was a nice little gym with a juccuzi and Sauna.

Conveniently set in the Simon Bolivar district of Guayaquil, Harmonie is located 5.8 km from Saint Francis Church, 6.4 km from Malecon 2000 and 600 metres from Plaza del Sol. Great stay, very clean place. Used to get to the Galapagos island. Hotel arranged for us taxi back and forth to airport. Each way was only 5 dollars. We felt very safe and great communication.
