Larissa was such lovely host welcomed me at the property. With fresh fruits from the garden and bottled water. The Villa was perfect with fully equipped kitchen and utensils. The bed was very comfortable to sleep in and with air conditioning in the bedroom. The pool was well maintained and clean with a nice view in garden. The location was also amazing, short walking distance to town. Absolutely beautiful place, highly recommended and would love to comeback.

My husband and I explored Savusavu as part of our “baby-moon” trip and staying at Gingerbread added to the special feeling of the island. It is right by Splitrock snorkeling site and a small walking beach, surrounded by a lush garden and one can enjoy the ocean view while sipping coffee on the porch. It is also right by the town, so one does not feel too isolated. The place is so functional - with plenty of seating, a small kitchen and a good comfortable bed. I loved the shower too - you can hear the birds chirping and it has a big window. Jan made us feel very welcomed and comfortable and shared useful tips on the nearby sites, places to visit and dine at. We will definitely stay here again once back.

The snorkelling to Split Rick and back, at a decent tide, was the best snorkelling from shore we have done, in terms of fish variety and coral - no big fish but a sea turtle. Even some bright soft coral in the split rock crevice. We did one local snorkel with Cousteau Resort next door and it offered no more than ‘from shore’ on the day. Didn’t get to snorkel Namena Marine park (weather not conducive) but tours are possible and Neelam, herself, provides services for free diving. Neelam and Toby were super generous in collecting us from airport, waiting while we shopped for provisions in town, and in providing fresh papaya, kitchen basics and muesli. We are at our 4th Fiji accommodation (at Coral Coast) and it only reinforces how special the Bougainvillas location is. Yes, the steep driveway (picture) and mezzanine steps won’t suit everyone. (I’ve got one bad knee and was fine for that small distance especially given the little steps for traction) The kitchen utensils were minimal but sufficient - could do with tongs, a bowl for salad and some container for leftovers. Didn’t miss a microwave, didn’t need aircon for our early October stay. Netflix was great too.

The owner of the property, Mr Firoz, was so attentive and made our stay in Labasa an exceptional one. We let him know that we would be arriving earlier than anticipated, and with a previous tenant checking out not too long before we arrived, the staff were able to turn the apartment around in such little time. Mr Firoz met us soon after we arrived, and the apartment was so clean, you could not tell that it was previously occupied moments before we entered. We also had a mishap where we accidentally locked one of the bathrooms from the outside (meaning no one was able to enter it). However once the information was relayed to Mr Firoz, he showed up within an hour or so to resolve the problem by unlocking it asap! With the famous 'babasiga' heat of Labasa, relaxing in the cool aircon was amazing. We also loved the location of Jumanzuls Abode as we were able to take leisurely strolls to Labasa town whenever we needed to buy groceries.

Savusavu noktasında yer alan Beachfront Villa - Pod House, Private Plunge Pool, with Starlink tesisi özel plaj alanı olanağı sunar. Amazing location and the accommodation is luxurious. Wonderful views over the bay. We had complete privacy with access to assistance whenever it was needed by Jolene who was extremely helpful and happy. Elia was a fabulous warm caring tour guide with all the local knowledge who coordinated and drove us to experience the waterfall, hot pools and great snorkelling. Brilliant stay!

Savusavu noktasında yer alan Beachfront Villa - House of Bamboo, Infinity Pool with Starlink tesisi özel plaj alanı olanağı sunar. House of Bamboo was the perfect place to stay. Located 6km out of Savusavu, along a very pretty seaside road, House of Bamboo was surrounded by beautiful tropical vegetation while still offering stunning views of the sea from its large deck. The house was very comfortable and extremely well equipped so that we had everything we needed for our 8 day stay. The beautiful pool area was a lovely bonus. There was great snorkelling right out in front and we enjoyed the use of the property's snorkelling gear, kayaks and paddleboards. Taxis to nearby Savusavu were cheap and readily available. We were met by our host at the airport and farewelled on departure, and our luggage was carried up and down the 100 steps for us! Meagan and staff could not have been kinder or more helpful - they were absolutely wonderful, and we were very appreciative of that. We all loved our stay at House of Bamboo and would definitely stay here again if we return to Savusavu, which we would also love to do!
