Offering a terrace and views of the sea, The Olive Yard is set in Gytheio in the Peloponnese Region, 50 km from Kalamata. Monemvasía is 44 km from the property. The entire property was exceptional, definitely exceeding our expectations. We think this was the best value for money during our four weeks in Greece. Highlights were: the large, comfortable and private terrace, where we enjoyed snacks and wine from town; the extremely helpful staff both for our needs during our stay and for information about the area; and the grounds around the building. The view from the terrace was great.

Built of stone, Bastione Malvasia Hotel is situated in the medieval castle of Monemvasia, just 300 metres from the gate. Wow! This is one of those special places to stay. Historic, beautiful, cozy, thoughtful, professional, with a truly incredible breakfast, and an amazing location inside the old town. Amazing value for money (at least in low season).

A lovely complex of new villas set in a fenced 5-acre area, blending beautifully with nature and hints of a rural atmosphere. Interiors and exteriors are tastefully decorated. The location is pet-friendly, near organised campings, just a short drive to Mavrovouni and Gythio, with the beach 400 meters on foot. Perfect for a quiet holiday in nature. The hosts are genuinely warm and welcoming, making you feel like one of their own, and breakfast is sufficient.

I Porto Kagio, 1 minutters gange fra Porto Kayio-stranden, ligger Porto Kale Guesthouse, som har en hage, gratis privat parkering, et privat strandområde og en terrasse. We stayed for one night (but I wish we’d stayed for two nights at least). Porto Kagio is a very small intimate charming little village stretched across the beach of a small cove. A wonderful getaway spot with stunning views on the approach. The owner Panayioti was kind and generous, offering to help with our bags then bringing us coffee on our patio. Our room was charming and well appointed, with a cupboard, a desk, a suitcase rack, and a little fridge. Clean with a comfortable bed. We had a patio with a sea view and we were a short stroll to the beach. Breakfast was served on the top floor patio although the owner offered to serve us on our patio. Breakfast itself was fine although myself I would have liked some fresh fruit too. We did an easy walk around to the point where there is a little church and a stunning view back to the cove. We ate fresh and perfectly cooked fish at Taverna Porto right on the beach. An enjoyable time altogether.
