Set 1.7 km from Lafcadio Hearn Memorial Museum, Onyado Nono Matsue Natural Hot Spring offers 4-star accommodation in Matsue and has a spa and wellness centre. The hotel seems brand new, and the rooms are nicely set up with tatami mats and comfortable beds. Just like in a ryokan, you leave your shoes at the entrance. This gives the hotel a very cozy feel despite its size. The staff is extraordinary. I never had to wait to talk to a staff member and they were very helpful. The onsen is one of the best I experienced in larger hotels like this. It is a very nice oasis to come back to after a long day. I particularly liked that they also have a sauna. The location is ideal. There are lots of restaurants and bars literally right outside the hotel, the lake and the castle are both just a short stroll away. If I come back to Matsue, I will stay here again for sure.

Attractively set in the Hiroshima City Centre district of Hiroshima, Randor Hotel Hiroshima Prestige is situated 1 km from Chosho-in Temple, 500 metres from Hiroshima Station and 1.2 km from Hiroshima... The reception staff were welcoming and accommodating. Felt like a guest not like a customer. Room was upgraded but we were unable to use the bath or washing machine due to our time constraints. 5minutes to the main station and easy to navigate to the streetcars from the hotel.

Located in Tamano, 21 km from Hashihime Inari Daimyojin Shrine, UNO HOTEL provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. Very well located. The dormitory did not feel like it was a shared room. The "boxe" was actually big and comfortable. I slept really well. The shared bathroom was clean and well equipped. It’s quite pricey but everything was good.

C&C Okayama offers accommodation with free WiFi in Okayama, ideally situated 300 metres from St. James Kisai Memorial Cathedral and 500 metres from Okayama Kinshu Kaikan. Warm, comfortable and stylish design. Close to gardens and downtown area. Staff were helpful and friendly. Cool rotational art gallery/residence on ground floor

Set in Uno, the recently renovated 視点定点 inn offers accommodation 21 km from Kyobashi no Kyokyakuato and 21 km from Hashihime Inari Daimyojin Shrine. The room was surprisingly spacious. The owner was also very accommodating to our request.
