Well set in Hiroshima, Hilton Hiroshima offers 4-star accommodation close to Myoei-ji Temple and Hiroshima City Minami Ward Community Cultural Center. Everything about the hotel was perfect. The location was fantastic. The views from the room were breathtaking. Customer service was exceptional and the breakfast was absolutely brilliant. The room was extremely clean and the swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna were great. Definitely recommended!

Set 1.7 km from Lafcadio Hearn Memorial Museum, Onyado Nono Matsue Natural Hot Spring offers 4-star accommodation in Matsue and has a spa and wellness centre. The room was very spacious and well decorated, which is rare in Japan. We liked the fact that we had to leave our shoes at the entrance of the hotel and walk bare foot in the hotel.

Set in Uno, the recently renovated 視点定点 inn offers accommodation 21 km from Kyobashi no Kyokyakuato and 21 km from Hashihime Inari Daimyojin Shrine. Wha a cute, clean inn with lovely attention to detail. So close to the port and we had a great dinner at a bar close by called Setomaturi and the granola(gf) and coffee at Bollard the next morning was fantastic!
