Ideally situated in the Dogo Hot Spring district of Matsuyama, 媛邸【ＥＮＴＥＩ】 is situated 600 metres from Joshin-ji Temple, less than 1 km from Matsuyama Shrine and a 16-minute walk from Miyukiji Temple. Everything was perfect. Probably the best stay I've ever had anywhere. Two floors all to ourselves. Very artsy interior. A private onsen. Exceptional service. Yukata to wear. Lots of gifts.

Situated in Ainan and only 600 metres from Kanjizaiji Temple, 町の中心地 星もきれいな貸切宿 "うみいろキャビン " "umiiro cabin" features accommodation with quiet street views, free WiFi and free private parking. A beautiful place to sleep,great location,and the owner is so nice,she even hugged me when I entered.I recommend it, it's really beautiful!

Set within 35 km of Oogamiyama Omoto Shrine and 37 km of Henjou-in Temple, 伯方plus+ offers rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Imabari. The owners of this stay were so very very kind. We had to inform them that someone on our reservation was unable to come due to an illness, and they went out of their way to get her a souvenir! How kind is that?! When you arrive, they give you a cup of, possibly, the most delicious heated orange juice I have ever had. Genuinely both my brother and I were shocked at how good it was lol. They were also very complementary of my terrible japanese, so bonus points for hyping me up XD. The stay itself is quite small, but it has a magnificent view out of the window to the beach and the palm trees, and the sunset over the mountain is breathtaking. It also has everything you would need for a stay, fridge, microwave, table, kitchenette, etc. Special shoutouts to the shower, holy crap the heat and water pressure from that thing were life changing, and I wish I could have taken that shower home with me. Genuinely in the months that I have stayed in Japan that was the best shower I have ever had. No worries about food, there is a Konbini very close as well. All in all this was a wonderful stay, very convenient, hosts were really nice. Absolutely will try to stay here again when I retry the Shimanami Kaido.

Located in Inokuchi, 32 km from Oogamiyama Omoto Shrine, Guesthouse tonari provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking and a shared lounge. The place was clean and very comfortable. There was a kitchen that had all the appliances needed to make a good meal. The best part was the hosts. We had some issues with our bike rental and they called the firm and discussed the issue. They fixed everything. They helped me navigate the bus schedule that Google maps wasn't aware of. They were just amazing hosts.

Situated 35 km from Oogamiyama Omoto Shrine, みやうら御殿 offers 2-star accommodation in Imabari and features a garden. This apartment features free private parking, a shared kitchen and free WiFi. The location is just perfect within walking distance from the city center, and sufficiently up the hill to enjoy a beautiful sunset. Everything is graciously taken care off - the garden, the kitchen, the facilities. There is good energy in this place, and I bet it’s the staff, friendly and helpful, spreading love around. Thank you for this unforgettable stay. And the free local yellow mandarins, just delicious!

Located in Hikino, ゲストハウスみちしお provides air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi. The property features sea views. Had an amazing experience! The guesthouse is located in a beautiful location at the foothills of some mountains on Yuge island. It's quiet but restaurants and convenience store are easily accessible by bike. Was truly a unique experience. Koji was also an excellent host. Would strongly recommend!

Situated just 26 km from Mishima Shrine, ゲストハウス 西村サイクル（24C） features accommodation in Izume with access to a garden, a shared lounge, as well as a shared kitchen. The host was so friendly and accommodating. we wished we had stayed here for more than a day. The kids were so attracted to the Atari TV game console and it brought back such fond memories for us. House was super clean and modern, and well equipped. we loved the comfort of sleeping on plush futons in the tatami bedrooms. Unit was only 3 minutes from a huge super mart. Highly recommended.

OMISHIMA SPACE Omoya has mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking, set in Imabari, 30 km from Oogamiyama Omoto Shrine. Everything was super clean, the spaces are really nice and it is perfectly located in the middle point of Shimanami Kaido :)

Situated 37 km from Senkoji Temple, 38 km from MOU Onomichi City University Art Museum and 38 km from Jodoji Temple, Guesthouse Farmor - Vacation STAY 15083v features accommodation located in Imabari.... Our host was very kind and helpful - we arrived soaking wet after a day of biking in the rain, and our host helped us dry our clothes and shoes with a heater. She also booked us a restaurant for dinner since there weren't very many nearby and they required reservations.

Offering inner courtyard views, しまなみ海道お宿ぽんぽこ is an accommodation set in Imabari, 30 km from Henjou-in Temple and 30 km from Kawara Museum. This lovely traditional Japanese house was a wonderful place to stay on our bike trip. While neither party could speak the other's language very well, we were able to communicate fine. The luxury touches in the beautiful and spacious rooms made everything feel welcoming. If you like fish, make sure to order the kaiseki meal that the hosts will prepare for you. It is worth every penny. They also offer a simple but elegant breakfast included in the stay. We started calling this the "it's all downhill from here house" because we knew we wouldn't be staying in anything as grand for the rest of our trip.
