Ideally situated in the Dogo Hot Spring district of Matsuyama, 媛邸【ＥＮＴＥＩ】 is situated 600 metres from Joshin-ji Temple, less than 1 km from Matsuyama Shrine and a 16-minute walk from Miyukiji Temple. The bathtub was amazing. The beds were incredibly large and comfortable.

The apartment is wonderful. The beds are comfortable, the bathroom is excellent, and so is the kitchen. Parking is right next to the entrance. The area is very quiet. Self check-in was easy. As a bonus, there were sherberts from the host's farm waiting for us that were absolutely delicious.

Situated 35 km from Oogamiyama Omoto Shrine, みやうら御殿 offers 2-star accommodation in Imabari and features a garden. This apartment features free private parking, a shared kitchen and free WiFi. The place is amazing: a traditional japanese house with a great view of the town and the sea (and sunset if you are lucky to arrive early). Masashi is a great host, super nice and welcoming guy. And the kitchen is a great space to socialise with the other guests.

If you fancy a break from Japanese city life, head for this lovely guest house in Kamijima Islands. Your host Koji can not do enough to help you enjoy your stay. He picked us up and dropped us back @ the port, waited for us to pick up supplies at the supermarket, lent us bikes free of charge, gave us plenty of advice, responded immediately to any queries we had, and even booked our restaurants! Thank you Koji! Exploring this peaceful group of islands was an absolute delight.

Situated just 26 km from Mishima Shrine, ゲストハウス 西村サイクル（24C） features accommodation in Izume with access to a garden, a shared lounge, as well as a shared kitchen. Great place in a quiet town. Would need to take a bus or train from Uwajima. Schedule is not regular but easy enough to navigate. Space is large and very well thought out with sleeping room, hang out lounge and nice kitchen with table and chairs. Very well equipped and spotlessly clean. Great place to base for walks in area. Huge bonus was Izakaya down the street. Super refined and tasty. We enjoyed our stay.

OMISHIMA SPACE Omoya has mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking, set in Imabari, 30 km from Oogamiyama Omoto Shrine. The host was very friendly and helpful. The accommodation was incredibly clean and orderly. Traditional japanese housing but at the same time had a feeling of modernity. I was impressed by the attention to detail on all amenities present in the accommodation. The bed was so comfortable. It has a perfect location for those cycling the Shimanami Kaido. Keep in mind that it is a shared house, so you will be sharing the same common spaces with others staying, although this was no issue for me. I would highly recommend Omishima Space and I hope to be back in future!
